Empty World Outside

the wildlife fled far
           surrounded by silence daily
                 empty world outside

I can feel that one down to the core. We have less bird activity during winter, and it makes the charcoal and gray skies drearier. Thanks for sharing this one and for dropping by my page with congratulations. Sara

That was sad. Why is there silence? Where has all of the wildlife gone?

Chris, it is horrible. They fled from the toxic plume from Ohio that went North. Maureen said there was a bird she saw in Canada that is not known to be that far north. But now there is evidence of toxic rivers on video from Ontario and they tested snow in Quebec and found phosgene and toxins. It is silent with lack of bird songs except a few black crow and Mourning Dove. No squirrel either. My yard is usually a flurry of wildlife daily. It is empty. I contacted the Governor to have streams tested. No birds flying. Nothing. :( thank you for your visit.

Emptiness speaks loudly in this emotive write--words from the heart-- aching for things to brighten up.

There is one thing for certain, Heidi. In this cruel and unfair world only the strongest survive. It's harsh but reality is harsh. I hope your day is filled with bright colors and lots of wildlife. You are always welcome down here. We got loads of critters:)
