Premium Member Spark Crystalline
I struck a match, igniting a spark
But it fizzled out in the dark

Staircase To Heaven

to go up or down
sweat on er lips tasted sugary
i was sure now
smoke and fragrance
of life
fizzled our mind and heart
i shouted

On January 2nd there’s a lot of people working out
They’ve made New Year’s resolutions, no doubt
They want to get slim
So they come to the gym
By January 4th their resolve has fizzled out...

Premium Member Embers and Snowflakes
The flames had long died down
But embers lingered on
Till persistent snowflakes fell
And the last remnants of hope
Slowly fizzled out.

Left Hanging From the Swing
You came out swinging and talked a good game.
But you fizzled out and left me to hang.
All alone in this tango for two.
It was supposed to be me and you.
But you had your eyes set on some other prize.
While I was ready for you, you were stuck in the clouds.
Wishing on a star.
Swimming among the fish.
Hoping on a hope.
Hanging on...
a
kiss....

Distant
It was an instant attraction but
somewhere it split , a cosmic
reaction but somehow it fizzled.
We came together so fast, we lost
sight of the past.
Same mistakes things undone, we
walked when maybe we should have
run.
I was mad I was sad, took my pace
said we needed space.
You were gone, I knew I was wrong.
I knew in an instant, we became
distant....

Quiet
Christmas Day is quiet –
Traffic’s light and stores are shuttered.
All the hype preceding it
Has fizzled out and puttered.

Families turn inward
And the streets are near deserted.
Temptations from the outside world
Are easily averted.

If you took all the Sundays
And you rolled them in a ball,
They might finally rival Christmas –
It’s the quietest of all....

Premium Member The Time of Youth
At love's first spark when in youth we were,
That crackle and snap of pine cones burning.
Aflame at first then as embers glowing,
Time has left us now, in thought, yearning.

The spark that was, has waned, not fizzled,
We still fit each other like hand and glove.
In our hearts there could have been no other,
God authored our one true lasting love.

Just celebrated 46 years...

Times End Age
After the stoned and stoning age
The iron axe head fell
Steam fizzled out
Electricity waved hello
TV leeched onto something in our psyche
Space seemed a chore
Nuclear scared us to our irradiated core
PC took over
AI looking over its morality shoulder
Now this age of unseen smiles
government counting death by percentages
sorry not to put at ease
maybe its the end of these...

Frustration
Fizzled out I am; a failure!
Rejected and rebuffed by you.
Unwanted and unloved I feel.
Stressed out I am; so disappointed.
Teased and teased by you again.
Reality is a reversal of roles;
As I saw them. Angry? No not I.
Thwarted; trampled and tossed aside.
Injury of pride is what I'm suffering.
Outwitted, outguessed, and then offset.
Neutralized I was. No wonder I'm frustrated!...

I the Graduate
Sit me here without merriment have I
Me teacher to I say
Ascertain this thing called Pi
Be fuddled be fluxed be fizzled
Me brain light just dies.

Stand me here what lavish leading tones sings I
Me teacher to I say
Sing the words-vocalize
Loudly Laudably Laughingly
Me soul un lamentably does rise.

Saturated me-self in what knowledge have I
Me teacher to I say
Graduate this day and be baptized
Apprized with fisheyes
Me soul doth now say banzai...

Premium Member And Once Upon
Listen to poem:
and once upon a galaxy
there was this one little quark star
that wanted nothing more
than shoot through vast skies
at the speed of light

so on and on she drew across the heavens
her many arcs of ephemeral wonder
and no one dared to stop her

she danced across the universe
leaving her trail everywhere she went
until she had no more to give
and fizzled out into infinity

Hobbled Heart
In my mind I revel in the fantasies that were our dreams. Those places sensual and mysterious, and the steamy adventures that fueled our nights with passion.

Oh how our lives ruled by the softness of love and our time sizzled with desires that filled us both with fire and those tender moments of romance.

But the burning flames fizzled and with it our love, and yet I find myself unable to move on because I'm still crippled by desire of she who hobbled my heart....

Premium Member Fizzling Fizgig
There once was a young man named Rig
his rectum two sizes too big
	whenever he farted
	his two cheeks they parted
expelling a fireworks fizgig

The fizgig it fizzled and hissed
as it came through out of the mist
	we spluttered and we gagged
	as on the fizgig dragged
and now we were thoroughly pissed

Rig laughed and muttered, “I’m sorry.
Passed as I stepped from the lorry.
	The step was too high,”
	he said with a sigh,
“of getting back in, I’m charry!”...

A Friend Like You
With the help and confidence
You give me, gives it a second thought.
Sweet and genuine messages
In your each gnawing gaze.
You bring me up, when I tumbled down
Like a breeze in air, you sail me all through.
At the point when I get fizzled, you beat me down
Much the same as an educator you chasten me out.
With a companion like you,
I became more acquainted with what companionship is
For the genuine bond we share, I swear,
Our great stream will never end....

Summers Love
We fell in love in a one stoplight town
During a summer right out of a dream
Exploring each other under a full summers moon
Making love until we ran out of steam

You were gorgeous late in the evening
While watching the sun set out west
I just couldn’t take my eyes off of you
My heart beating out of my chest

By the time our summer of love fizzled out
We peacefully went separate ways
I’ll never forget, as long as I live
The warm summers love that we made

D.R.L....
