Distant

It was an instant attraction but
somewhere it split , a cosmic
reaction but somehow it fizzled.
We came together so fast, we lost
sight of the past.
Same mistakes things undone, we
walked when maybe we should have
run.
I was mad I was sad, took my pace
said we needed space.
You were gone, I knew I was wrong.
I knew in an instant, we became
distant.

Hi Mary - this is nice. Fizzled cosmic reaction? Whoa! You really know how to paint an image!
