Fear him! - Mar 6

The foreign fiend, of feckless faith and folk,
Is feigning fealty to our fair fortress;—
To force his form and fold on finished fact,
He’ll find fit fashion of fetid fetish.

Feisty Fall

Crisp metamorphosis of color
Tempestuous leaves tap dance on
Tangled wind's insouciance
Wayward sun's scarlet wink
Feckless orange flirts
Fey cinnamon
Coyly bold
Feisty
Fall.

Feckless Forest Faeries

Feckless forest faeries faintly frolicking for fiddling foundlings.
Morose mortals merrily mixing meager mushroom munchies
Fantastical fey forever feeds frenzied fevers following forest firs
Chattanooga chirps, cheeps, chattering chipmunks, chewing crunchies.

Felix, Feeling Famished

Felix, feeling famished, finished six thick steaks.
Felix, feeling foolish, states, “Thick steaks stink.”
Felix, feeling thirsty, swallows six thick shakes.
Felix, feeling sickly, states, "Thick shakes suck."
Felix, feeling fat, fumes, “Feckless, foolish schlub!”

The Swill To Believe

“A man convinced against his will
Is of the same opinion still”—
But though we will with all our might,
A sober thought still wins that fight.

A fairer rhyme I thus propose,
Our feckless follies to expose:
“A man convinced by stubborn will
Has surely swigged some sturdy swill.”

Cashless

Clean down to the bottom bill Smashing gobsmacked cashless Simply crass wealthy wanting more The silent till awaits the masses Pouncing plastic rapist rapture Stripped!! The global bankers dream! Control the dough by feckless reign A reckless chain to pitchforks once again

Sincerity's Seed

Indifference
A cold, sharp silence
that cuts deep
shredding a
hopeless heart
suffering the agony
born from the
apathy and fear
of those
who claim to care
and espouse empathy
Empty words
wafting on the wind
carrying a seed
that descends
on concrete
Feckless folly
false and
meaningless
Sincerity
such a rarity

Professor Snudzs Analysis

I’ve studied the matter, compared statistics,
evaluated lives with unbiased prejudices,
my research and facts painstakingly sourced –
though four times married, four times divorced –
call me daft, incompetent, or feckless
my conclusions are sound not reckless,
and the indisputable truth that emerges?
Men and women make the worse marriages.

Fallen Dreams

Oh, we of tattered plumage through no fault but our own.

Fallen into hades as though sundered by a stone.

The leaders that we followed behaved of lowest rank.

While the path we hoped for upward to the depths now we have sank.

Tis not the grasp of ankles pulling with the weight of boulders.

Nay my friends tis feckless leaders standing on our shoulders

Too much is Enough

Too much is enough when one is full up Had plenty to eat and plenty to sup When feeling bloated Tummy’s explosive Cough loud and say sorry for the hiccup. If by chance you should have become legless Aim for the best, to not feeling reckless It's not ladylike A sure fated vice You may find that you have become feckless.

Water Under the Bridge

Real friends, like brothers,
Like glue stick together
Forever, oath of crack,
To the limits and back.

When the clouds come in
And hope is thin,
They dont run for cover
Like feckless, reckless lovers.

Those bricks of hard trust
Laid so tight must
Be always remembered
And forever defended.

In loss the last straws are given,
To forget the past and be forgiven.

We Were

We Were Children

Waiting for nothing for everything
unconcerned with moments
how they'd slip past
only whispers on July's breeze

remember us in the back field
sun torturing arms and noses
intent, curious, innocent beings
omnipotent, feckless,
soft as warm air

our childish words
expressed in vagabond faces,
dressed in lies, but, just children
waiting for nothing
waiting for everything

Try Soultry, Not Country

Better we look to our souls, than focus
on our feckless country.

If not, it is like having bats in your belfry.

There is zero comfort in man of the sod.

Pay close attention only to the living God!

That’s what I meant by, “soultry.”

Wish you serenity in God’s serene country!

                    Merry Christmas

Try Something New

Jubilant Jeewillikers, Jackety Jackety Jack Jack
I laugh and I smirk with my yackety yak yak
Try something new, Dr. Seuss says into my ear.
It delights me in all ways, I have nothing to fear.

I jump onto a geewiggleworm’s posterior and back.
I am yelling obscenities that make my feckless face crack.
Jubliant Jeewillikers, Jackety Jackety Jackety Jack
I laugh at happiness given to me by this Whackety Whack Whack!

Victory

The birds have all begun to sing.
Frozen days of winter took wing.
Warmly the robin chirrs of spring.

A blue jay swoops down from the oak.
His chilling jeer to mind invokes;
Fears from feckless fraudulent folks.

Red headed woodpecker pecks pine;
Rhythmic reminder, faith sublime.
Tapping a note, all will be fine.

Cardinals trill from dogwood tree;
Chirping birdie, birdie, birdie.
Singing a song of victory!

Pelosi and Her Bad News Bears

Ah, dear Mrs. Nancy Pelosi,
Trying her best, with feckless,
Congressional cubbies.
Doing their best to make her
life anything but rosy.

Pick up that gavel and swat
their obnoxious butts off!
Don't let them drag you and
your party through their dumb,
showhorse stuff!

Ostracize and censure them,
right now!
Before they blow up the DNC.
And worse..the entire country!
Ker-Pow!

The Oceans

Where are the oceans made from tears That is the love of God A flood that was the passion Lost in memories bittersweet And all the arrows of deceit Sent down with feckless fraud Upon the weak and withered souls Left lost within this bog In the darkness, in the night Or the light from love's illusion Who can free them from their bonds Of this earthly, cruel delusion

A Stranger To the Seasons

Starved of work his sharpened blade
is dulled by anonymity,
feckless, drifting here and there,
he has no true identity,
time has no fidelity,
and space has no consistency,
he has no frames of reference to rely on.

Work is the measure of the man,
his strengths and limitations.
Now, shrunken wallet, shineless shoes
and shrinking reputation,
a shadow of his former self,
a soulless apparition
wholly spent, a stranger to the seasons.

The Gunfire Rages

The gunfire rages
through the cracks
of neighborhood cages
as every fetid tenement ages
and voodoo economics suppress wages
of waitresses, cabbies and sages...

while the slick-shoe alderman engages
in taxing your turnip-blood in stages
and blue-jeaned billionaires decry outrages
of clothes-hanger abortions back-stages
and gang-banger rampages --
as this feckless dog-and-pony upstages
detonated death's tick-tock gauges

Leo, 2016

Lions cherry blossom tea-loam eyes,
Your eye is the dandelion.
Beau plasir not as Orion,
Moons aloft on these tireless sighs.

E'en the trees quick-summon Thee
To fill their roots 'ere drenched from "love"
As laughter keeps the carefree dove
From feckless crowns to help them see:

A wasteland whirls its hollow rake--
A tell-tale wind's an owl's cast;
Come mill the hour, warm-mend my mast,
"Abiding" All sewn roads We make.

My Every Dream

I fear I have forgotten how to dream,
or am I merely stuck within the seam
that separates the waking from the dark~
perhaps my dreams have flown away; a lark
flying nebulous space between the stars,
unfettered then without the earthbound bars
where sweet infinity awaits beyond~
and how then shall my darkened soul respond
as I repose for sleep without a dream~
I plead the feckless midnight sky esteem
to return at last my every dream.

The Widower

Brittle bones crackle through the hall,
as I slowly trudge to an empty bed.
Outside my window dies a barren Fall,
and what survives but my Winter dread?

Slipping into the bitter-chilled covers?
shrinking beneath ‘til I’m cloaked blind.?
Despising the demons who steal our lovers?
like feckless butchers of the conscious mind.??

Death stares me in my jealous eyes,
withholds from me his seductive knife.
Does he not hear my bitter cries?
Why plague me with abandoned life??

Excuses, Excuses

The day was hot and reckless
And I? I felt the same
I was feeling young and feckless
The day, it was to blame

The evening too was daring
It made me wild and brash
Drove me to stop caring
Made me heedless, made me rash

Then night time's mindless passion
Spurred me, fast and loose
I lost all sense of right and fashion
The night is also my excuse

So force me to have second thoughts
I'm begging for release
I really shouldn't be wearing shorts
Please call the fashion police

Feybound

Recycled poetry,
we’ve used all these spells before;
Abracadabra,
a whisper to make that cauldron simmer…

Calling corners?
familiar synonyms since the new are..
feckless;
We must honor the magick.

Memorable alliteration;
Innate skills aren’t teachable;
Feybound;
Like you? It simply belongs to the stars…

Remembered ritual,
a taste of what dances upon your tongue;
Phantasma,
you have always had the touch…

It’s not reused, it’s ancient,
it’s as spectral as abracadabra…
