Sincerity's Seed

Indifference
A cold, sharp silence
that cuts deep
shredding a
hopeless heart
suffering the agony
born from the
apathy and fear
of those
who claim to care
and espouse empathy
Empty words
wafting on the wind
carrying a seed
that descends
on concrete
Feckless folly
false and
meaningless
Sincerity
such a rarity
