Breathless

Breathe in slowly,
Relationships are feckless,
Emotions turn unholy,
Arguments leave us useless,
Time takes over wholly,
Hearts abused, we’re reckless
Life should be more holy,
Egos are not spotless,
Silence pulls closely,
So we are left breathless.
