The Swill To Believe

“A man convinced against his will Is of the same opinion still”— But though we will with all our might, A sober thought still wins that fight. A fairer rhyme I thus propose, Our feckless follies to expose: “A man convinced by stubborn will Has surely swigged some sturdy swill.”
