Integrity may be passé
For those who live day-to-day
But Old Father Time
Makes you pay for each crime
Recorded in your DNA!
She lay, lonelier than a stone,
hoping for company, any
company, but the only
visitor was Father Time,
come to say Goodbye.
At the chime
of Father time
if you goof
with mind aloof
slave to fate
plans stalled late
Master will charge
like Madame Defarge.
Mother Goose and Father Time
All together had children nine.
Love ruled hers,
His were let free.
All wound up productive, happy and fine.
Teenage girls to the age of 18
Are renown as juicy and lean
Then Old Father Time
Commits an hate crime
Making them fat, wrinkled, and mean!
Old Father Time offered for sale
Used scythes Death designed to impale
The demos were free
But if you ask me
Those buyers looked woefully pale!
Children of time we are that our father's face never saw-mortals while he forever living!

Write a monoku about an injustice, a passion or fear Poetry Contest

I fear Father Time creeping up on me~
and taking my breath away.
What’s life’s punishment most severe
That oft fills these old eyes with tear?
While fathers wonder
At rest six feet under
Their children’s future is not clear
Gazing at the rear of my head
Many follicles are long since dead
Father Time is always sure to win
These naps are lookin' awful thin
Shall I shave my dome instead?
tou both gave me hope
you are know joke
soon mother day
soon father time to play
your the best yet
to have you am so glad
tho at time i was mad
THINKS MOM AND DAD
The end will come to the mother nature,
On the day assigned by the father time;
The end words of lines will no longer rhyme,
The stars won’t shine and the world will rupture.
Father Time, depicted as ‘the Grim Reaper’
House of Horrors gatekeeper
Holding a scythe, ready to strike
Where's ‘Papa,’ who loved me as a tyke?
There once was a man called Old Father Time.
He rang in the New Year with a great chime,
He pushed the old out,
brought new without doubt,
and promised a new year purely sublime.
as dawn draws nigh~yesterday's residue,
linger on the fingertips
in twilight hour~ one graspes, for something
that can't be held, father time

Cloud of dreams, rushing past, spiraling
Clocks ticking, time running out, soaring
Sitting in patriarch chair, reclining
In blanket enclosure, thinking, dreaming
Old Father Time, paradise waiting

Haven't finished what I've started
I'm running low on fuel
So much left unaccomplished
Father Time, you're too cruel
I feel the door closing
My life nears its end
Dare my work I set aside
My relationships to mend
If time would let me change the past,
I’d live a perfect life.
No matter how I messed it up.
I’d tidy up the strife.
But sequence has a purpose,
so I’m told by father time.
To have something from here on out,
all change must form a line.
I cannot sleep through the night,
I am an insomniac,
All my thoughts come to life,
And stab me in the back,
I try to think like normal people
But all that comes to mind
Is that we are ticking time bombs
In the hands of Father Time.
Green
Hulk rise
From Ocean's
Deepest depth bring
The Big Apple hope
Like an ancient Phoenix
Brought life to which died by flames
As Father Time _ Poseidon watch
To see if this resurrection starts
A whole new era__ blessed golden life
lost,
remote
shangri-la;
peaceful eden
razed by mother nature and father time.
the paradise we once knew, so far gone;
it will return
only if
you come
back.
Santa Claus, he scratched his beard
When he noticed something weird!
Christmas sales in summer? What a holiday hitch!
“Add a day!”, said Father Time, “To fix this glaring glitch”.

When I was younger
Time was money
Fancy clothes and romance
Now, it is one day less;
Every additional gift
Of sunrise
an immeasurable wealth
No longer with Time on
My side, try as I may
(my old Rolex sighed)
From Father Time, nothing
Can really hide --
