THE MESSAGE
THE MESSAGE

I received a message in the ether today
No phone, no radio, no spoken word
Just a strong sense of what I should do
Something that was disturbing, it’s true
An official letter, I would’ve preferred
But in this facility, I just can’t get away

Inevitably
we'll all end up in
some facility
where
they'll prod and poke,
ask you
if you smoke and
your age.

I render unto Caesar
my gender,
that's a teaser.

Strapped to the cot
by the nurse robot and
everything's seen by
the eye in the screen
eventually....

Ah, Youth
Younger people slake their thirst -
No reason to endure it -
With water or another drink
As quick as they procure it.

But older folk will agonize
Although they may secure it,
'Cause if they drink enough to quench,
Their bladders just can't store it.

Though young and old alike may share
A quenching-thirst ability,
It's only older ones who care
'Bout where's the next facility....

You Little Devil
her heart could not withstand
anymore pain from the life
of her son's daily usage
of drugs and alcohol

only sixteen and yet to blossom
mother had to make some
tough choices either check him
into a treatment facility by dawn

or simply call the morgue
while holding sons photograph
kneeling and crying at his casket

Shootings In Indianapolis
With all the towns and cities we've got, where can you go without getting shot? Another fool went on a shooting spree. This time, at a Federal Express facility. The city was in Indiana called Indianapolis; eight persons dead and many wounded because of this. Another sad episode we hear about on the news. Yes, the senseless murder of persons continues. From a news story on aol.com

Originality
We’ve got originality
and street credibility
in this sincere society.
If you’re in a confused community
filled with cursed celebrity
who’s got hot hostility
-We can fix your hospitality
with the pens in this poetry city
Yeah, we’ve got eternal eligibility
 A fair forte… a facility
built with trust and tenacity
…just playing with words… sincerity.
Truly, poetrysoup is a strong city
built on creativity… originality...

The Sandcastle
Baseball used to be played in this city by the shore.
The team was unsuccessful, and they play no more.
The “Sandcastle” was the home of a team in Atlantic City.
This is a modern, state-of-the-art sports facility.
It is now dark and quiet with nobody there.
Mosquitoes are the only inhabitants in the summer night air.
There are other attractions where each tourist goes.
They would rather be on the boardwalk at the hotels and casinos....

Premium Member The Square
Sitting on the very old court house square
New bank facility on the corner
Massive structure, commanding, once bare
This square once small stores center

People came to shop, talk, and visit
Some would go to the corner drug store
From the fountain get a shake and sit
Now that drugstore is torn down, no more

The grand hotel on another corner
Beautiful brick simple design square
Non-operational now vacant
In limbo waiting for revival...

Toilet Like Pilate
A facility he had not used
But about it already enthused:
A not funny challenging toilet,
Water needing like Pontus Pilate:
Just to climb it effusive pride bruised
And when one was through with it still mused

Twelve litres of water when not late:
What one might be right to tag Plain Fate
The wildest cats would towards its slouch,
The wildest man on it limply crouch;
Not a convenience you'd for it vouch,
Found faults in the nastiest language crouch....

Red Dog an Aussie of Gypsie proclivities
Pawed rides through the Outback without civilities
When he wished to depart
He let rip a grand fart
Then jumped from the car with much facility

Once leapt up behind a bike rider
The driver rode fast
Until he got gassed

Mumbai Monorail
A new transportation system operates in Mumbai these days. It is finally up and running after a few costly delays. It moves between Chembur and Wandala in India’s largest city. See those modern railway cars move! Don’t they look pretty? Citizens of Mumbai can avail themselves of this facility. This monorail makes it much easier to travel through the city. I thank wikipedia.org online encyclopedia for information I obtained to write this poem.

Res
I arrived at a residential facility today,
The people are nice but the thoughts scream profanities
my overalls get looser as the day goes on,
and I feel like I'm shrinking, but maybe that's a good thing
my mind is a sullen cloud,
heavy with the weight on my shoulders
I sit in a chair unable to think, they may think I'm disgusting too
the echoes exacerbate the evil spirit that eggs on my eagerness to escape
never have I felt so welcomed, yet so alone
I scream and suffer in silence....
