Flowers
Flowers
bloom to wither,
having exuded their
fragrance, leaving dormant in seeds
all charms....

Poles Had Protruded
Poles up from bottom had protruded;
Others were out of sight and excluded;
Life displayed;
Never did fade,
While all of nature's beauty exuded.

Amounts In the End
Amounts
In the end
To equal
No value
Time spent
Energy exuded
Exchanges made
Nothing matters
nothing What so ever
Once one has moved
Past another there is
No turning back of the
Hands of time...

Premium Member Old Blue
The best hunting dog in all Baltimore
Was my butt belching blue dog Amador.
Aghast guests once heard a blast
As Blue exuded his past,
Leaving a thief flat, gassed out on the floor.

Bygones Is Bygones
Bygones is bygones
Rights are wrong.
What an ugly, sick song.
If your headlong grin and
sly stare exuded any less
pomp, your clown-prop nose
and cherry toothpaste lips
would have long ago slithered
away from your paved face....

Premium Member No One Questioned Her Loveliness
A flower garden was her veil
No one questioned it
For her thumb was amazingly green

Azure eyes gave her a haunting look
Some were intimidated by her
I was a bit jealous

She exuded a beauty few can hope for
I watched her turn the corner
And loved every movement...

Premium Member Integrities of the Obamas
The absolute integrity of Obamas blanketed America
Their entire family exuded respect and confidence
Michelle and Barak showed their deep love
For God, their daughters, America, each other.
We have not had such role models
I hope to see this again once
Before I leave this curious flesh life...

Premium Member In Her Sights
while the rest
of the world
vanished
she zeroed in
on her target
had him in her sights
nothing else existing
he froze
knowing all to well
he was snared
she ravaged him
he had no say
entrapped
guilty of the charm
he exuded
in spite of himself

butterflies echo
sublime fragrance exuded ~

Premium Member A Lone Candle
A lone candle On Halloween night Softly burns The traces exuded Doesn’t burn my eyes The light it creates Lights up a small area Confined spot The shadows grow Across the table Is long and eerie There’s a soft glow That comes from the wick It burns real slow Down to the quick Leaves soulful imprint

Premium Member Insanity Exuded / the Scream By Edward Munch 1893
Like the salt sting in an open wound
the colors encrust, excrete, move.
Boneless, bloodless, consumed insanity in bloom;
Munch’s “Scream” fills the room.

Undulating gore explored.
Heartache reeks from every pore,
Like the salt sting in an oozing wound
Munch’s nightmare blues fill the gloom.

All humanities abates
such torment at Fates gate....

Premium Member Our Mermaid Ruth
Never in the land of water and whir,
Had there ever lived such a mermaid pure.
Her scales were the loveliest of all the colors.
She was the envy of many mothers.

When we got to know her and saw her love
We knew she was graced with blessings above.
She had earned her colors, and she lived her truth.
She exuded peace and unity, our fair mermaid, Ruth....

Premium Member I'm Shocked
There's someone I've got eyes for
That someone's grabbed my heart
Indications not exuded
Signals don't impart

But inside's a different story
That's where it all plays out
The butterflies when I see her
Do divebombs without a doubt

And when I hear her sing her songs
I'm brought down to my knees
In essence, not in substance
It's there where I was seized...

Just as everyone before her,
she walked through this life alone,
leaving footprints we can follow
as we struggle on our own.

She, woman of many talents
rationed what she let us see.
Wit and wisdom she exuded
in her unique poetry.

There are others who have judged her
as she played another role.
But perhaps we knew her better,
a true poet bares hr soul....

Premium Member Summer Heat
Summer hot and sultry,
I stood in my overcrowded greenhouse,
suffocating as if I were in a steam bath.
The summer orchids bloomed,
especially the cattleyas,
the indisputable queens.
They all exuded perfumes,
according to their hues.
Predominant the violet dictated
while the yellows stood subdued.

Fern plants stood still,
pleading for cool water,
little realizing that even I had need....

Premium Member Identical Hair and Attitude
Never had a horse and rider had a more intense bond
They communed with feelings others could not touch
It was no mistake their hair and attitude were identical
Meant to be together in this lifetime and possibly the next

They had a bond humans can only dream of
A natural chemistry that exuded trust and love
They were a sight as they traipsed through the snow
One in every way; telepathy oozing out of them...

Premium Member Successful Shanita
Shanita’s face was a map of confidence and strength.
At seventeen, she exuded a majestic feeling, without any haughtiness.
I knew she would master any avenue or occupation that appealed.
Years later I ran into Shanita once again.
Her self-assured face told me immediately …..
She was successful in every area of her life.
She did not have to say it; I could see it in her walk.
And the way she greeted everyone with respect....

Premium Member Meeting Inhumanity In a Dark Alley
I wanted to think there was a sliver of human in those eyes
But I could not find it.
They were bleak, desolate.

The energy he exuded was potent and evil.
If he was not the devil, he was high in the ranks of hell.
I could not bear his stare.

I was reminded of every dark alley I had been too afraid to enter
wondering why I had chosen this one on this night with this element of evil.
He made a move toward me and I knew all was lost....

Premium Member Thoughts of Harvest Moon
A mystical feeling exuded by the harvest moon
Makes me think my trip to heaven might be quite soon.
There is knowledge in there that rivals shadows of grays.
Luna’s magical feeling prances in shadow of October praise.

My thoughts go to witches, goblins, ghouls, and black cats.
In the belfry beside me, I hear the creaking sound of sleeping bats.
The harvest moon is full tonight, which brings a new eerie thought.
I wonder what creepy grim creatures, Luna has brought....
