we fade away at eventide
and in that in between zone
deep inside we wingless glide
our finer sensibilities gently hone
Soft twilight
whispers in our dreams
dusk’s cool breath
silent hope
toast to gloaming, wander free
night’s gentle embrace.

When God was a burning bush
He happened to see Eve's tush
Butt wise to his games
Eve peed on the flames
And disappeared in a whoosh!
darkness, Eventide
bronze teapot whistles
spiced warmth, outside, snow

The sand's running low,
It's near time to go;
The water is boiling away.
The shadows grow long,
A lullaby song
Is heard at the closing of day.

Drowsy vista glow,
dwindling radiant golden.
Daylight’s recall lost.
sundown eventide
before lightening bugs flies
near the butterflies

Eventide, the sun sinks low
at the seashore, waters flow
Pre-dawn morning, streaks of magenta
heaven’s canvas fills, incremental
A sweet zephyr from the east;
Deep, long breaths usher a song of peace.
The cooling scarlet sun summons eventide;
This still moment is where serenity resides.
alert cormorant
dives for fish in eventide …
…hooked prey hears death knell

As a tacit weep
Stream droplets in the dusky

Breezy eventide
A stunning tall new hunk winks
Over her wood fence

breaths weep of old age through eventide... as fresh rocks stand still

evening drifts in quietly, brushing the room with a touch of gold.
memory leans beside me, unfolding its stories in gentle breaths.
the heart learns its own rhythm, steady as dusk deepening into night.
Dramatic dusk inviting
Stay undaunted wait
Effervescent stars begin
Dramatic night's fate
Eventide brings peace
Simple breathtaking dimday
When night sounds increase
Inspired by Nette's contest
in a veil of clouds
on a misty charcoal morn
October drifts in
clouds of smoky grey
cast a shade of autumn's chill
on lost summer smiles
then at eventide
pumpkin colored skies breathe life
into twilight time
So
Serene
Swell, softly
Swallows sweetly
Sing
Spring
Sunset
Scarlet sky
Sublime starlings
Soar

hot June eventide...
sweltering clouds perspire - drip...
rain to sate the earth

We waste our time pursuing a frivolous task,
and fail in addressing those most important.
At eventide in our accomplishment we bask,
but we squandered time on the unimportant.
Contemplating eventide
Requested a longed desire
Resting in heart chamber side
Provoking aloud suspire
Burning as a wroth wildfire

Amber is this Autumn day,
Bedazzling me with beautiful brilliance.
Crisp is the breeze and colorful are the trees.
Dusk descends with its darkness.
Eventide has extinguished the day’s enticement and emptiness engulfs me.

stardust lingers down my cheek,
eventide came soon and winter
has spoken
icicles dangle and snowflakes
descend onto barren fields-
for seasons change and so
did my hope in all good things
to come
