Haiga - Summer

hot June eventide...

          sweltering clouds perspire - drip...

                    rain to sate the earth

Pretty unique thought, Greg, "clouds perspiring in the heat". Very original!

Thanks so much, Daniel ... I try very hard to tap into my inner child ... I'm pretty immature, so it's not much of a stretch for me, lol! Blessings, my friend! :-)

Your imagery is indeed satisfying, Gregory...like the rain, making the earth pleasantly contented! (I wonder how the judge can see the link between picture and poem, since I believe that, unlike the reader, he can't see the accompanying picture!) Best regards // paul

No, you can NOT see photos while judging, but by labeling as "haiga" the judge can find it after. I just love to post photos with all my poems ... it sets a mood and puts a "frame" on the writing. Blessings and thanks, My Friend! :-)
