    Remove the joy from life
      replace it with drudge

There once was a fellow who was a drudge
When something bad happened, he held a grudge
It just ate him up inside
   His very navel was snide
Then everything changed ~ He discovered fudge...

They Drudge Among the Living
They drudge among the living
But count among the dead
Their youthful labor stolen
A universal dread

In stasis, they squander years
In shock, we view their pain
Hostility - A witness to
Their efforts done in vain...

Grandma Connors
I am a drudge-mad caroler,
Singing my songs of sadness to anyone
Who will listen.

I am not the only one in this house who is
Missing her, with feelings of sorrow for
One who has recently been lost,
But will never be forgotten....

A Goodbye Molded by Hate
If there was a poem for every I love you of yours
That weighed more than I'll see you later
Poetry wouldn't exist
And that's why I cry, not your absence
So, by the time I drudge up the energy for goodbye
I digress, I'm done wasting time
p.s. I'll never let poetry die...

Warrior
The flawless beat of a warrior's heart
Unflinching in a passioned breast.
Unfamed by drudge and dreary toil,
marching onward in a deathless quest.

Forged by iron in flaming truth,
each beat carved by an untouchable sword.
Unknown is a hero's sacred stance
upon the fabric of time's eternal Word....

My Anguish
I could give up on you.
Let lying to myself.
Become as comfortable
as an old blanket.
Unburden my eyes
of your shape,
of your smile.
For dreams are for the dreamers.
So I would drudge in reality.
Lose myself in the geography
of my mind.
Yes I could do all of that
but for the fact.
I love you....

Premium Member Never Misplaced
We kissed
In the ruins
Of our love

We shared
Our despair
In a world
That didn’t
Care

Our life long
Lament
Of the silence
To our prayers

Yet we call upon
Our resilience
Of our faith
Everyday
As we drudge
Those stairs

And when
We fall
We reach out
Clutching
For the ones
Where we
Placed our love

And we pray
That our love
Was never lost
And never
Misplaced...

Let Me
Let me take time to think to decide

Let me take time to choose to select

Let me take time to adjust to reside

Let me take time to assess to reject

Let me take time to try to solve

Let me take time to feel to combat

Let me take time to be a drudge to get involve

Let me take time to be sure to start

For all the boring things that need my attention

Let me take time to be in this position...

I Hate Sand
It starts real slow
Just one little speck
Then more and more
Soon it's up to your neck

So you drudge through the sand
Day in and day out
Life's struggle gets harder
Your head filled with doubt

Unsure what to do
With the time you have left
You start to feel anxious
From the thoughts of your death

So you stay in your room
But know it can't last
Because the sand's almost out
In your life's hourglass...

Premium Member Delight In Wandering
Amid the concrete towers of modern life
some ancient preference in us calls
for sunshine dappled bowers.
There is respite in leafiness,
in tangled vines, obstreperous creepers,
in row, upon nonchalant row,
of fragrant roses.

A butterfly invites our eye
to ramble from monotonies of
daily drudge.
We hearken back to some
lost paradise - a game, intent
on restoration of our addled brains
We find again,
delight in wandering

I Thought I Knew What I Was Dreaming
I thought I knew
What I was dreaming:

The night time walks
And daytime talks
The future pledged of seeing;

The midnight phone calls
And certain gewgaws
The heart defined of meaning;

The swapping letters
And evening ventures
No longer seem existed;

The solemn promise
The spirit noticed
Refined and all retracted.

But all seems false
And love seems vain
I have no words of truce,

I'll drudge myself
In scattered pieces
And paint them with my youth....

The Obscure Love
The cash and carry of love
Which summer doth requisite
When will thou birth me a dove?
Soon autumn will bid for hunt- 5
To gratify winter’s drudge
Oh! Far is the sight of spring
None can pacify better
For season flies without wings
And quick does it charm scald beauty
Of whose time shall be pleaded?	10
As vaguely summer doth leave
Crow beckons with a caw
The womb that is long barren
Whom for eon is not loved
And in earth’s hate it joy is lost 15
Quick drains life off it victim...
