Never Misplaced

We kissed
In the ruins
Of our love

We shared
Our despair
In a world
That didn’t
Care

Our life long
Lament
Of the silence
To our prayers

Yet we call upon
Our resilience
Of our faith
Everyday
As we drudge
Those stairs

And when
We fall
We reach out
Clutching
For the ones
Where we
Placed our love

And we pray
That our love
Was never lost
And never
Misplaced
