Premium Member When Noise Communicates

When is not zero
merely negative chaotic dissonance?

So then,
why is not(not)
positively regenerative MidWay confluence?

Premium Member Humor in Repitition

If dissidents make dissonance,
    is assonance from a**es?
They really ought to teach these things
    in literary classes…

Span of an entire lifetime
Balancing one's smiles and tears
Harmony and dissonance
Measured in pleasures.

Premium Member Rise and Shine

The sun's rays blare impatiently
    a trumpet at my window

Their jars and jolts of dissonance
    a workingman's overture's crescendo

Bar

Meeting, toast, and air conditioner.
The jazz background dissonance.
Phosphorescent drinks in crystal cup,
Holding all virtual life inside it.

Premium Member Quiet At the Boarder Tonight

So imagine
A death ray
That turns
Troops to paste
Or makes the
Atoms in their
Body explode
Hmm dissonance
And quiet at
The border tonight

Over-Mused

Words
clamor
and curdle
into ripened,
red embolisms
of vulgar syllables
that dam fresh inspiration
with futile, vagrant dissonance.
I diagnose my swollen fingers
as unfortunate strokes of distraction.
Form: Etheree

Dissonance

The moon is full tonight
Full of hope and full of love
Longingly I look up
To that gleaming ball above

The moon is full tonight
Full of awe and full of glee
While far below I stand here
Empty as can be.

Courtship
                Tender Delicate
             Loving Adoring Caring
     Unity Harmony Crack Dissonance
             Lying Blaming Framing
                Bitter Destructive

Dissonance

restless heart in need of flight
the time is drawing near
future bliss within his sight
in the present lives his fear

what he has and what he needs
inhabit different pages
conscience shamed by guilty deeds
such sin has costly wages

Nyx

You called just to say
You’ve had enough of me
Distraught
Distracted with thoughts irrelevant
Sitting in dissonance
And starry eyed innocence
Tongue-tied
My heart died
It fell into the hands of Nyx
And thrown into the river Styx.

Appearances Aside

He stands so tall
He looks so fine
His clothes are pressed
He toes the line
He drives the road
In new Mercedes
Nearer Heaven yet than Hades

Some would kill to have his life
And he drives home to beat his wife
Appearances aside.

Premium Member Flee from Him

    Dissonance in me awakens
       Feelings faint and badly shaken

by hearts - come clean - that are now achin'
no thanks to my prevarications …

    Women: Sense a man’s unease
~ Flee from him and his disease

Cable Bay

the sky is a thousand hues
of the same colour, one painting /\
splayed twice, yielding /\/\
an invisible dissonance

Sensual Sentiment

Subtle kisses in the dark
Can you see me?
Soft and gentle embraces without uttering a single word
Do you feel me?
My presence has left me and stumbled upon you
Anxiousness causes heart throbs of dissonance
Do you love me?
Lip biting has become inevitable

Premium Member I Listen to What I Choose

     given my unconventional views
I listen to what I choose

     donkeys braying, horses neighing
         they’ve really got me swaying

to their thunderous declarations of dissonance
~ compared to 'the news,’ what’s the difference
Form: Couplet

Trying To Get It: Whatever That Means

The abrupt dissonance caused a mental breakdown
Father was never in his life
The streets played the role of caretaker
Homelessness became his ultimate attire
Often, a square peg in a round whole
The grinding lead to a friction like no other
Bottom is reality, top is but a dream

Paradox

May seem a gift

Of a story containing

Paradox..its

Impossibility may be

Discarded or

Suddenly embraced..

No explanation but

Perhaps resonance and

Gratitude...

Paradox

Is a story

Of dissonance

Perhaps ending

An illusion of

Separation...

Premium Member Night Vison

I scream This night vision Too many miles without you Like dissonance craves its resolution I covet you My Peace With shattered dreams and frozen tears I stand here naked My soul pierced by eyes of fire Desperately defenseless Consume me This heart in desolation Love gives way to thorns

Cognitive Dissonance

The daily slideshow
'Editor's Pick'
shows drunken revelers
high on an orgy
of celebration
interspersed with
devastation
in war zones
and a man who killed because -
'Get out of my country'
a hate crime
the slow scroll of images
presented in a microcosm
of the world today
no wonder the refugees
look confused

CAROUSEL

carousel
this familiar tune
sounds so weird

merry go round?
no!
this thing off by itself

carousel
every full time round
this odd face

carousel
choo choo whistles
frightening dissonance

carousel
off by itself
timeless riders

carousel
out of time
distant coaster rumbles

carousel

Premium Member Mutuality

(a thought rendered as a Senryu poem string)

A thought - proffered
by a jackal of a boy
that I dislike.

Has stayed with me
with an irritating,
cold dissonance.

For several days
- I’ve been turning it over
- somehow, it rings true.

“All romance aside,
in the long run, we must be
mutual sex objects.”
Form: Senryu

Premium Member Sacred Meaning

If muses
have sacred meanings
deeper
and before secular evolving purposes,

As ordained vocations
are to painful employment,

Then what music
would
could
should we prefer outside
to health care inside
digest?

Together peaceful
in resonance

Deeper
and before traumatic
warring
wearied
worn out dissonance.

Unforgiving Dissonance

fiddling with my
violin i can also
fiddle with my
viola in an
almost spastic
stance with head and

chin in an almost
accident rubbernecking
the accident which
has not not
only yet to

begin but will
happen
forgetting to
rosen my bow
now knowing

what the
screeching
of tires sounds
like played in
B flat major
