Gray Days

Gray days
Listless
Depleted
Existence, oddly muted
Minutes drag on
Bears are smart to hibernate
Not much to chirp about

High-Ku

~ O2 depleted

each icy step is labored ...

                              summit's frozen maw ~

Boy Toy

My boy toy seems coy and cunning. Sweet nothings repeated, some uncompleted, he leaves my hope depleted.

Tweet and Twitter

Outside my window, hark! a tweet
Alarm clock opens, a whirring twitter

These words' meanings, we depleted
   Their message, away we frittered

I Could Be Shy

I could be sick. I could be shy.
I could be outstanding. I could be high.
I could be low. I could be depleted.
One thing though, I am not defeated.

Your Attitude and Mood

Depleted?
Defeated?
Tired?
Uninspired?
Change it up.
Do something new.
Be someone new.
Take risks.
Your attitude
And your mood
Are up to you.

Rasputin's New Robe

Rasputin had to order a new robe,
To increase his depleted wardrobe,
He thought pink would look nice
But he should've thought twice,
His followers left in a drove.

Window Sill

Damn the window sill
It's never needed
It's filled with arze
most times impeded

And rubbed for dust
in times gone fleeted
For lost time served
in sense depleted

Lucky Victim

She was depleted, drained, exhausted
But determined to live no matter what
Three days later her killer led police to her body
Except she was merely paralyzed, still alive

Overtime

On the schedule
Very often unplanned;
Energy depleted but on demand;
Rarely appreciated
Taking one for the team,
I don't even fit into;
Money is the goal? Ha!
Everyone. Anyone. But me

The Aftermath

Another needless squabble
Leaves him fatigued
Like faded fabric
With frayed fringes
Another dismal day
And he’s left disappointed
Depleted and depressed
A discard
It’s damn dangerous

Used Up

Felt accused, so abused
Mistreated life, depleted
Violent line defined
Hystericaly speaking,
Can't start reliving
These observations eternal
Meaning the believing
Stops breathing heathen

Creative Spark

Bright flame to
	Fading ember
 Reservoir of
	Creative joy
Now depleted
	Brings the
Dim
	Dismaying
Emptiness of
	Effete creativity
Disheartens
	Disenchants
The migrant

Confidence Lacking

confidence lacking
running low
on empty
internal engine
controlling self-esteem
levels
depleted motivation
driving force
give up on goals
give in to self-doubt
lowering the bar even
lower than before

Deflated Raft 1 and 2

Deflated Raft 1 and 2 – Haiku

     Deflated Raft 1

air depleted, sigh
rubber flat, spinning chaos
raft takes on water

     Deflated Raft 2

floats on cold water
flat, under maelstroms great weight
watch the raft turn, sink

Wish

I wish
I knew
What you
Had needed
I gave
It all
Till I
Was depleted
My kiss
Your lips
No more
I’ve conceded
It aches
For you
My hearts
Blood red
My eyes
The tears
Like rain
Never ceded
The pain
For what
Love not
Ever completed.

The Prodigal

reserves
       depleted
    entrenched
in
feebleness
    strengthless
      self-centred
ego
to
the fore
        the
        tempest
rages
all around
battered
drenched
bereft
      broken
       beaten-
sigh
  turn
      back...
the cry

Freshly Fallen Flakes

Freshly fallen flakes coat the land and everything in sight. Suddenly, Nature seems so bland, when whitewashed white on white. Color change completed Autumn has retreated: its pallet: depleted. A clean canvas takes freshly fallen flakes.

The Bird

Did not the Bird,
warn us, by his airs?
Fewer by day...more by
night – the owls survive
longer! Did not rodents
warn us? Depleted by
owls, they both now suffer.
Better men open their eyes
to Light – for, even swooping
shadows, will not long survive
such night….

autumn in one ruthless scoop

i feel for yesterday's blooms
already withering
already past their prime
their innocence consumed
their beauty fading in the night
depleted with the passage of time
their message scattered to the breeze

how i resonate and feel for them
here for a moment then gone

Fed Up With Trump

Fed Up With Trump

Up with Trump we are finally fed;
Up wide  creek is where it all led;
Brain depleted;
Have deleted;
Trump is nocturnal and wet in bed.

Can't imagine a chick in bed with
him and getting wet all over. Here
we have to go all over again.

They All Want To Be My Friend

There are Debbie Dis-Gusted, Dis-Delights in this crazy world, so neatly.

And they all want to be my most utter best friend, and seek me so sweetly.

Which I now understand has depleted me absolutely and completely.

As walls I do not build; my emotions are always on Open-eatly.

I Am a Woman Saver

I am a woman saver
I see them all depleted and torn
Smashed and squashed
Down in ditches

I try to pull them out
Not using church or books of man
I put my arms out but they do not leap into them
They think I am a killer, a maniac, someone else to hurt them

I never stop trying

Spirit

Kicking up pillows of dust
   in desert dry
      depleted of hope
In his magnificence
he prances
    stomping
        bucking
unrestrained
17 hands raw
    black as death
nostrils flaring
fire eyes raving
    muscles taut in
anticipation
of the continuous climb
...... back
