Mothers' Day At the Oval Orifice

Donald Trump never had any doubt
He could hear Melania shout:
"Oh for goodness' sake
How long does it take
For a couch potato to sprout?"

Reincarnated

In a previous life
I was a woman’s bicycle seat
Envied by all couch potato men
My life has gone downhill since then
Now my old friends call me Depends

Evicted

Mike Mokes was a devoted couch potato.
It started only months out of the cradle.
He had found his groove
And refused to move.
'Til his house was hit by a tornado.

              Cat hanging off couch.
I, sitting here and do slouch.
              Stomach, a fat pouch.

Silly Side

Try something really funny
Racing with your honey!

Try something really silly
Backwords over land that's hilly!

Try something really crazy
Go into field that's mazy!

Beats being a couch potato
Might grow at least one tomato!

Premium Member Hills of San Franciso

When you arrive in San Francisco,
You can't just be a couch potato!
Hills rise and fall with a crescendo.
     You might want to sit.
     But that's just the pits.
Rise up, climb those hills with bravado!

Premium Member Daft-- Couch Potato

Dear Lordy, what have you done
this loony spouse given me…
he rants and TV- clicks all night
much like a freakish banshee!

Obsessed with horror movies
remote control is life's drug:
This model needs rebooting,
It's time for urgent de-bug.

Couch Potato

COUCH POTATO

Can there be more solid man
On the couch he’s planted here
Under blankets and old books
Calling orders for more beer
Has he grown a set of roots

Planting him eternally
Or is it possible
That he ‘s related to a tree?
As I glance at him again
Taking drinks and giving smiles
Oh, I’d rather have him home--
                       TV’s cheaper than gas miles

Old Man Trump

Was a really grouchy grump
Who would sit upon his rump
Like a couch-potato chump
Like a Groper poised to jump
Anything that he could hump
With a tiny little stump
He would huff and puff and pump
Till he found the City Dump
And became another lump
To be flushed straight down the sump
With a thumpety-thumpety thump
(One may NEVER dump a Trump
With a bumpety-bumpety bump)!

The Complexities of Human Nature

I'm logical about my passion
And passionate about my logic
I am shy and friendly
I am an extroverted introvert

I'm an intellectual who loves media glitz
I am a homebody who craves date nights outings
I'm an isolated observer of human nature

I'm an industrious couch potato
I'm a bohemian who requires a structured lifestyle
I'm a despairing romantic
Optimism and pessimism continue to crowd me
I am human...

Therapeutic

Therapeutic
Therapeutic, is soothing.
Maybe some hot tea.
Something meaningful to everyone.
Hobbies and talents.
Your favorite pastime.
For me, it’s writing poetry.
Sounds from a piano in the background.
Time away from work.
What is your therapeutic recipe?
It could be anything pleasing.
Spending time with someone.
Kicking back being a couch potato.
Whatever it may be.
A therapeutic moment heavenly.

Premium Member The End of the Weekend

I don't like Sunday night
  It doesn't like me
It's the end of the weekend
which doesn't fill me with glee

Tomorrow morning begins
  the workweek's dull grind
that some just can't wait for
  but which I really mind

My last hours of freedom
  couch potato-ing the tube ~
What the 'H' am I doing
  I'm such a dumb rube

C'mon, let's go out
  We'll paint the town red
After all, the next weekend
  is just five days ahead

8600 Lifetimes Later In My Mind

a soda fanatic
a tv hound
an armchair fiend
a couch potato....fried....not baked

i am fooling myself here
i miss you and that's just why
too bad you are no longer here to hear it
it is six years exactly today
the inhaler still sits by the picture you took twenty-four hours before
when i said goodnight to you, i never thought i would really be saying goodbye

a sucker for tearjerkers
a new connoisseur of tragic plays
a soap opera rookie....blue....not green

Premium Member Kitty Couch Potato

I just saw this cute couch potato
An old kitty with no up and go
He just sits and grows 'round
with large belly profound
While enjoying his best TV show

Laying low with his back legs astride
Tail beneath to protect his backside
Oh, how comfy is he
This old cat retiree
Who now basks in the good life with pride!
