Circomlocution
In a labyrinth fixed
on parchment folio,
Words smother eyes,
midst confounding minds.
Each jargon befogs
what’s ought to be explicit:
deluging audience,
in lieu of comprehension....

Simultaneity
Time,
the moving image
of eternity

Having no
beginning
and no end

Confounding
every mind
that begs to question

Shaping
all there is
within its bend

DJ Drop the needle on the record
And send strong waves singeing my synapses,
Nudging my senses, confounding each cord
Composing my sinews to move in accord,
Enthralled by the notes dancing on the staff....

Confounding Problem! (Pg Rated)
Mind not dense as neutron star
Stil feel like I'm in hot tar!

What a sticky situation
Under pressure of masterbation

Do I really need release?
Father forgive me please!

Be accountable; make it stop
Then I with glee can hop!...

Clueless Clara chatters
   constantly, blurting out
      careless words that create
         chaotic confusion
      confounding most old folks
   causing them to quickly
close off their hearing aids.

Comedic contortionist claims clubfeet;
consider carefully, circus clowns cheat.
Chico chipped Carson City's carved concrete
clumsily chiseling cheap cardboard containers.
Charlatans can calm capitol complainers
confounding Congressional campaigners.

Babylon
Arise! Our hands to the desert skies
Now our ritual has begun
With million voices for a million lies
And a confounding tongue
Our honey, we have trapped flies
On spider's web, These martyrs hung
The lion's roar and the lamb's cries
A mighty wind through our city sung
Fallen! Like Icarus to our demise...

The Peacock
The abstract hues,
The merging colours.
The confounding cry,
So regal,
Strutting with its head high.
The complexity of its almond eyes,
Never fail to mesmerize.
Its piercing majesty,
The facile expression,
And its purposeful stride,
They always hypnotise.
Its beauty never ceases to amaze.
And if it’s proud to confound,
It has a reason sound....

Aimless
Empty room, scattered thoughts,
roam, dark wilderness.
Sorrow reins, uneasy mind,
do question, of grand design.

Chart a course in sea's of vagueness,
a fate still undefined.
Clouded future, lost clarity,
the path, uncertainty.

Wander fields, a barren landscape,
murky waters of distant plans,
confounding the providence,
my destiny curtailed.

Whirling, twirling, psychedelic feast
Self empowering, revitalizing,
Unleashing your dragon

Born from sprinkles and glitter,
Pops and pirates, showing yourself
proudly taking prisoners

Dancing, prancing, magnificent

the startled masses

Who will never get you or
appreciate you like the artists,
poets, warrior women and pirate queens....

Premium Member A Soul Freely Partaking
I don't know that love
needs a face and place –
inclined to think, not;
but I do know love
needs a heart, often
set apart from the rest
of us – just to be clear
to those quite dense,
confounding the spirit
with a physical sense –
love is our source,
and not what we find
or become – love is
not a wager won
or a dare taken...it is
a gift given, and soul
freely partaking –...

Chemical Malady
Can’t function without it
The conjunctional life
And punctures confounding
A subjugal strife

My endurance depleting
My inevitable fallacies
Determined to beat this
Chemical malady

but

Deep down in the ditch
Is where I feel safe
Weak in the grips
Of insanity’s embrace

You can’t lift me out
Try as you may
Insipid, I pout
Is this where I’ll stay?

Premium Member Surrender
Of course, surrender is individual –
some accepting of confinement
for war – while others, for love
willing to relinquish all freedoms –

men and women often confounding the two:

love-making a too and fro battle
of sorts, of who will hold out the
longest.
           So much of man's nature
satisfied less by our endless competitions

Best no substitute for happiness...

Dream Lover
Beating drum resounding,
common thoughts confounding.
Emotions striped bare
confusion is there.

Feeling for him
whilst knowing,
this love may
not be worth showing.

Chances slim
yet hope begins.
Ignoring past,
heart beating fast.

Woefully smitten
by love
I was bitten.

Dreams of fantasy
hopes for ecstasy,
just wanting
you next to me.

Night fades to day
and again
he vanishes away....

The Dots...
I use them all the time
But I don't really know.
What they say or convey
Mere thoughtlessness or more?

I've seen them being used,
Excessively at times.
Where words didn't make it
The dots would suffice.

I hate the impact they have
Leaving you yearning for more
Unnerving and confounding
Indefinite conclusions I loathe

The dots in the end
Of some words desolate
Abandoned by the creator
For the other to insinuate......

Quantum Theory
If i were an earthworm
I say that rhythmically
as if I were singing "rich man."
.
If I were an earthworm,
there would only be WHEN..
.
Life would be time
as light and dark would
come and go and my gut
would feed as if I had
a tube to my stomach.
.
Life would be
a tunnel of passing.
My muscles modelled in my nerves
would create my space.
.
How different would be
the confounding universe,
if I were born
not a man?...

Burdens

East and West cultures
embellish spiritual truth
with color and decoration
and with shadows of
creation's duality..
These confounding covers
produce sleep and
resistance to calls for
new recognition..
Religious texts hide
their single truth
in their stories and
discontinuities..
We need to find teachers
ancient and new
with a balm of simplicity
to uncover..untangle
and burn all those
burdens which hide
our own Truth......

Premium Member Self-Existent Light
Listen to poem:
In the deepest darkest sea,
where sunlight is non-existent,
the deep-sea angler fish lures its prey
with a bio-luminescent bait
made by its symbiotic bacterial mate.

Deprived of light from above
it emulates the mighty giant sun,
teaching it a thing or two
about self-existence
and self-sufficiency.

A tiny micro-star
shines so bright in the cold
deep, dark, dank depths
with insistent, incessant,
self-existent and confounding,
bio-luminescence....

Infant Mystery
Your mother, laboring to give you life--
I, happy witness to love’s mystery,
so close I would be first to see your face.

Your head crowned, turned, unforgettable face!
Tiny body, precious vessel of life,
innocence fresh from God, a mystery.

Powerful love, confounding mystery--
I hold you, bonding with sweet form and face,
aching to keep you safe, protecting life.

Life, deep mystery, enthroned on your face.

Premium Member Mist and Not Missed
Mist and not Missed.

As the smothering all confounding
Mist gradually clears
Heavy dark foreboding ominous clouds dissipate
A multicolour rainbow paints the sky
The sun shows it’s beaming smile once more
Drying fallen tears

The lonesome hermit comes out of their shell
Eyes now open wide
With the thunder and trauma now abated
I feel once more
And come alive
No longer looking inward but outward
The storm has passed
And I
Survived.
