A Closed Door

A door unopened
the knock
makes almost
no sound
so subliminal
is
the flimsy veil
of steel
that guards the answer.

Mine

And in the cold winter rain
I keep you in my heart in frame.
A few steps back from this closed door,
You will be mine forever more.

On my side

You never were
on my side
closed heart
closed mind
closed door
closed eyes
you didn't give me a place
where to cry.

Winter Hugs Alone Mind

closed door; alone home
winter wanders with cool glue
silent all around
white snow plays warmly a rule
in poetic expression

Chasing Rainbow

Chasing Rainbow

Eyes
staring
constantly
at the closed door;
For years waiting to see him return home.

Tomorrow Is a Closed Door

Time will fly by today like it did yesterday
Before you know it today will be yesterday
      Take advantage of today
Tomorrow ain't nothing but a closed door.

Much In Store With Closed Door

Much In Store with Closed Door

Trumps saves things and keeps in store;
Each policy he does have is closed door;
In secret kept,
While we slept,
And no wonder him we all do deplore.

Why I'M Numb

Left the dentist with a swollen gum,
closed door by accident on thumb,
slipped on porch felt pretty dumb,
made snow angel for fun,
caked snow on my bum,
gum, thumb, bum
really
numb...

Gossips

Confined shoes
Toes struggle
Toes gossip
Barefooted
Cross - legged
Toes tangled
Gossip too
Closed door
Round table
Voted compromise
No gossips
Open air
Mouth gulps food
Mouth giggles
Teeth gossip too

The Door

An open path
to a closed door
With a heavy lock
A dead end
A new beginning
A heart
that had fallen
jumped
The heavy door
no more than
a handle
That need not
turn
and
the door
that had
never closed

opened

Closed Door

the door has been closed
it has been bolted and locked
don't try the window

my heart is secure
your words are no longer "keys"
soul sanctuary

image is tarnished
no longer will I welcome
a fallen hero

lets tango Poetry Contest

I win- I love you more
I still love you
outside the closed door.
I love you with tears,
knocking until my knuckles bleed
so now I sit outside in silence
enjoying your noise instead.
I was the only one
who meant what I said.

My Shadow, My Dear Likeness, To My Dust Never Part Me

Oh my concentrated multitudes
of long lost contact
twixt u and I , my dear one
pressed souls, felt bodies
deep into my flesh and bones
you have risen in me
a closed door, hidden from
all who seek, no key existing.
Only gentle kisses, to wetten
Locked bolt ever open.

gentle death

it's chilly,
it's tense,
the morning i saw you
lay down on the floor–
i meant to annoy you...

my voice was choked up,
i couldn't shout out.
the voices i heard
were getting too loud.

it's noisy,
it's dead.
it lays on the floor,
it's asking for help
behind closed door.

My Secret Places

Come and follow me
to my home and see…
…come walk each step I've walked.
Let me introduce
myself, a recluse.
Each closed door your eyes unlocked.

I will let you in,
lovingly attend…
…my soft and secret places.
Shut the whole world out.
Shine a light about
all dark and hidden spaces.

The Garbage Trucks

The house still sleeps,
Coughs, rustles, creaks
scuttle under my closed door.
The truck grumbles into the alley.
It used to be a barmaid
trashing bottles near
the house where I grew up
making pops and clinks.
Now it's trucks collecting bins,
dumping glass in their broad bellies
huffing away down the alley.

My Mothers Kitchen

dripping tap in an empty sink
passing away the hours
the table where she always sat
naked without a cloth

the stove well used
now forgotten
grown cold with time

white china cups on a dusty shelf
waiting to be filled again
and slowly sipped

a closed door
can't hold back the memories
in my mothers kitchen

Falling

the wind turns my apple tree
into a victim, a lover banging
on a closed door of gnarled wood,

a dance makes this ringing evening
singular, the leaves agree to fall
and turn in the moving faith of air;

they tell us about birth and departure,
about leaving together, stories of
ending as the sun arcs and protests

A Beautiful Encounter Awakens

A Beautiful Encounter
Awakens

The fire still, brightly burns.
The heart still bleeding, yearns
to be loving you forever more,
to know the pleasures as before.

On itself, nothing turns,
lost, forever, behind the closed door,
wondering ?, what fate may have in store,
for one with far to many concerns.

Cuck Holed

in the closed door shadows
listen for her announcement
to precipitate his arrival
cock and sock in hands
for she will make him remove
any excess
splattered on her floor
from behind door
the grunts
have become one
and rhythm ceased its turn
Her rasping off
as i scuttle back to safety
waiting for them to leave
our room

Who Am I

closed door
slamming
resounding
in my ear.
I hear you call
asking where you are.
Lost
and displaced
case closed
as you
talk
they do not hear
the words you speak
and you leak
the information you want them to hear
a spear
into your heart.
why wont hey listen, hear your cry
why should i
try
anymore
if they dont listen.

Slip-Wind

How easily words are lost in times slip-wind,
only recalled in dusks blanket,
just before jealous sky
releases heavens jewels.

A sigh, held in stubborn ego's grip, struggling to escape
from behind lips; pursed, finally bleeds,
only to fail at the closed door.

Nothing left to burn; memories lie like ashes
in a cold fire-place.

Echoing of Songs

"Winds of fate have born thee, across this empty plain, and closed door with no key, but so many ones to blame. To
keep a river flowing, we all can make amens, but when the winter's snowing, no crack shows at the bends. With dark
minds and simple thoughts, we come to fix upon, the broken sparks of crystal tops, and the echoing of songs"

History Essays

Pale sun, gray sky
Shadows long on the wayside
Bright lights inside
Words hide

Closed door
Balls of paper
On the floor
You don't give
I can't take
Ink still in the pen
Page still blank

Empty mind
The past unkind
Half-dead
Half-mad
Lending life to men long left.

Did Cavour hinder the process of Italian unification? NOOOOO!
