Beneath the Holy
Veil of sanctity
Men and women
Play, tease the Devil
Offering up children's
Innocence
For lust and
Momentary pleasure.
When you see the snow think of me
Where the trees die thats where Ill be
Cloaked in darkness so no one can see
All this pain inside of me
Oh the stealth of those shadows which come cloaked in the black of night ....
bringing with them dark thoughts which haunt the souls of men.
I left my languid thoughts cloaked in leaves
dreaming of you 'neath our oak tree.

Nature Haiku
for Tania Kitchin
fallen ego’s no longer proud
for we have cloaked it in love’s shroud
our bliss drenched heart feeling complete
standing alone whilst in a crowd
Leather jacket cloaked
upon shoulders worldly wise
together they lay
within the Pacific floor.
New Year gift to keep her dry.

Shrouded in mystery
Cloaked with misfortune
Gift of life
Kiss of death
Dark angels wings
Protect me again
A warm lighted heart
Encased in the cold

she cloaked the cuts
a chain of blackbird tattoos
winged rosary
V2
she cloaked the cuts
a chain of blackbird tattoos
fatal rosary
No strength is so sure
Yet fleeting, as noble men
Who, cloaked in valor
Do the things righteous
Without anyone watching
Unseen by the crowds
Paintings unsold
children unfed
emotions ignored
storied unread.
Hearts on the sword
wars cloaked in red
purple-hearted pope
the artist is dead.
time stirs incensed sparks
a moon of juniper dreams
amidst this wild heart
aching to be cloaked in pine ~
sweet love … brushed in warm lilac
I am torn and worn,
Cracks and crevices cloaked,
Courage wearing thin,
Hope, listless and frail,
Saddled with unwavering troubles,
In sequential order.
Lofty are teachings,
cloaked in a mystical tongue,
blindly followed by the herd.
Discarding concepts,
the atheist people shun,
shares his lunch with a beggar.
Early spring ice rain came and soaked
Thick sheet of ice the pond was cloaked
Off I race to the edge
Smashing ice with my sledge
And my little friend froggy croaked
The Wizard of Our-Land reigns supreme
cloaked in the garments of fear's dreams
He waves his wands, flexes his muscles
smooths over all problems, as dark winds rustle
Haiku competition for Raul Moreno (as per his photograph submitted)
Brambles cloaked with green
Spring sunlight gleams through the trees
Wood thrush in full song.
Blue waves cloaked in white,
Come to kneel before the shore:
Power in the sand.

I read the poem Footprints
and was inspired to write a haiku.
The Bride to be, first upon the red planet
To lead a force of three among rocky pits
Cloaked in brilliant white, face of golden glass
Upon the face of the god of war she now sits.

A FIT OF SHIVERS
CLOAKED IN SILENCE
PALE AS SNOW
PONDERING DESCENT
NO ONE KNOWS
MY IMAGINARY FEARS
CAREFUL AND QUIET
AS A CAT
I SLITHER
THROUGH THE DARKNESS
SOAKED ANS SHIVERING.
