Back 2 School
Donald Trump says kids are immune
So classrooms must open - and soon!
If teachers die
We all know why:
Trump gets his facts from a cartoon!...

Badly Betrayed
From school and friends, kids have been barred
Leaving them anxious, emotionally scarred
These kids, the teachers have badly betrayed
Staying out of their classrooms, but still getting paid...

School
In crowded classrooms kids would sit
reading from books and listening to teachers
watching the clock, waiting for two
when the bell would ring and the school would look like a zoo ...

University of life teaches
Things that are not learned
In the classrooms of school
Walking with faith and hope
Opening arms to universe
Welcoming uncertainty
Giving thanks to God
For one more year of life
To realize unfinished things...

Visions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mind travels amid the etheric realms
as dreamscapes roll by on their journey.
Dreamtime classrooms filled with spirits
lend their flavors of harmony to the
attentive soul...
Stardust orbs absorb visions.
Ye Olde Classrroom Days
Ye Olde Classoom Days
Let us take a cruise to the great past.
Hold tight, it won't be an easy task.
Look here, pencils and erasers,
and books to hold, again!
Classrooms, no 'putters,
Loose leaf paper,
New crayons,
Rulers,
Clock
November 27, 2019...
Deep Students
The students in my classrooms were deeper than the rest!
They yearned for knowledge only, and I, their prof, felt blessed.
This was my giddy thought
when my first class I taught…
until I heard the ditty: "Will this be on the test?”...
nooks and crannies in Elementary Schools
There are now nooks and crannies in elementary school classrooms.
Places for children to slither and slide into
When they need a break
When they despise multiplication facts
When they are tired of reading
When I was a child I would have spent all day in one of these crannies
Ignoring the teacher as hard as I could...
Falling Classrooms
Falling classrooms
are a laboratory of learning
cheer your nation with one heart
for the generosity
of poorly trained teachers
to make you doubt all ideas
Poor library and resources
challenge your search for knowledge
Poor facilities in the campus
train observation skills
Lack of textbooks
force you learn naturally
by yourself...
Something Unique
Something unique to
the United States,
young children aren't safe
inside school classrooms.
Innocence is
being slaughtered,
by mass shooters
brandishing guns.
And moms cry,
pleading for
gun control
laws that
never
pass.
The Start of School
School begins tomorrow;
All the teachers must report.
For most of them, the summer always
Seems to be too short.
They’ll decorate their classrooms
And mentally prepare.
For years I did the same but now
I’m glad that I’m not there!
I’ll sleep tonight without the dreams
That back-to-school inspired.
Let others plan and worry –
I’m at work being retired!...
A Little Slice of Eden
Sailboats on the river,
Choppers in the sky,
Flowers blazing color -
How fortunate am I!
Butterflies a'flutter,
Painters en plain air,
School kids freed from classrooms
Being silly as they'd dare.
Tourists snap some photos,
Pigeons peck for crumbs,
Sunshine coats the atmosphere;
Anxiety succumbs.
A little slice of Eden
On a Wednesday afternoon
And whenever I must mosey
Will be much much much too soon....
A Presence
Beware serious, uptight, overly stressed people.
I lurk in the classrooms, school hall, libraries, Wall Street,
business offices.
Yes even in the churches. My influence will spread.
There will not be a single person who can escape my presence.
I have existed before the dawn of time and will remain when
you are just dust here on Earth.
But, when you arrive in the afterlife I will still find you.
Who am I? I am Laughter....
Winters Cycling Kids U K
Cold at 10 c or below, will the teacher say
Theyre good to go? In driving rain or sleet
Real neat.? Frozen fingers faces and feet
Pushing hard, maybe devloping a racing
Streak.? On empty stomachs? To classrooms
Chilled.' A climate win? old Sunaks thrilled.'
Forget about asthma.' Septembers warm.'
A weeks a long time..He has been warned.!
Myocarditis now approaches spawn' young
Minds will learn, truth is not just a fleeting
Turn.'...
Homo Ludens From Within
As a play,
life moments and experiences,
antithetical to lore and summons.
Visiting the world by smiling and laughing.
All classrooms become living rooms.
Far from censorship,
the political narrow-minded.
A sizeable sanctuary serves as a library,
the school's wings swing.
Jews cling to jewelry,
Moslem clutches the monsoon,
heartfelt and engaged.
Bnei Yisrael comes after Bani Israel?
Salam comes after shalom?
Homo Ludens dances,
Homo Faber flaps....
Dry Summer
DRY SUMMER
On Harcourt Hill the summer grass is parched and desiccated
All dry and flaxen neath the beating sun, its message carried
To teachers’ throats to give a thirst, a craving unabated
For College now is designated: ‘campus dry’ and arid
But when this season’s over and the sun’s becoming mellow
And classrooms echo vacantly with words select and wise
Then, temperance repealed, with soft tones as a solo cello
Some sweet and blest libations will restore, revitalise....
Animal House
The worst fraternity on campus is Delta Tau Chi
Every night, all of the frat members get high.
They can drink more than their weight in booze.
In the classrooms with their grades is where they lose.
The brothers have trouble imbibing their knowledge.
The dean wants those punks kicked out of the college.
For everyone else, they display blatant effrontery.
The truth is, there are houses like that on every campus in the country.
Based on the 1978 film “Animal House”
