Diminished Hexaverse
A form containing stanzas of five lines, four lines, three lines, two lines, and ending with one word. The syllables in each stanza correspond to the number of lines, i.e., five in each line in the first stanza, 4 in the second stanza, etc.

Something unique to the United States, young children aren't safe inside school classrooms. Innocence is being slaughtered, by mass shooters brandishing guns. And moms cry, pleading for gun control laws that never pass. (Diminished Hexaverse) 06/11/2022 Diminished Hexaverse Contest Sponsored by: Caren Krutsinger

In any poetry form this is a message worth writing and reading. Nicely done, Emile.

Bringing to light a serious subject with artful grace, Emile...I think Israel has it right, no school shootings there...tho unsavory, but works...all the schools have at least one armed security at every school, Rebublicans offered this in many bills, every one rejected by Democrats, makes no sense why they don't want to protect children...
