Journey

Like a castaway on the cosmic sea,
life has been a mystery to me
what can I do now, or say,
but think of my yesterdays,
now my soul, and spirit will be free

Scowl the strongest defense,
how I wished upon a fantasy;
Allow someone to dig deeper,
now will someone see me?

Cliche’ to blame the movies;
Array of visions in my mind
convey such an image of true love;
Castaway courts a concept undefined.

Castaway

If stranded on a tropical island
and could have but 3 things,
                         I would choose,

                          A knife.

                          A box of matches.

                          And a Walmart.

A Slow Death

Premium Member A Keepsake

A world without setting alarms;
Cliche clocks are my enemy,
way too good at ruining fun;
Castaway I’ll stay out at sea;

Island wake up suits me just fine ,
sand all over my toes at daybreak;
Hand on my lips enjoy silence,
brand this view into a keepsake.

Uncaptured sympathies
From the lost departed
No turning back
All plans are thwarted
Revelations and tears
Washed away with the rain
Forgotten tragedies
Unspoken in vain
Here I am a castaway
On a passengerless ship
Thanks for the freedom
No longer your whip

The Cross

For at the time
The skin concealed his bones'
As the skin bleed threw
And threw,
This is a day for justice
For the Gentile and
The Jew
Oh, castaway all thy sin
Let the Holy threw
Fore Jesus is right and
God is might
And Restoration is anew
Let God bless you

Drifting Away

2-24-10

I'm a castaway
On a ship far away
Everyone is gone,
And I'm the only one.

Ever so slightly, the boat drifts on...
Drenched in the brackish sorrow,
I wait for nothing but the morrow

If you care - turn your eyes to the sea
There is all the tears I have shed for thee.

You Haunt My Mind

I am stranded on this beautiful isle, but you're not here. Thoughts of you haunt my mind Grief entwines me with chains that crush my heart. I am a castaway without your smile. September 24, 2020 ~ Double Tetractys 3 Sponsored by: Eve Roper ~ Photo #4

Echoes of Unrequited Night

Staring at the stars in the sky
Hollow heart, cast under the shadow of love
Forgotten, downtrodden
Castaway,the fate of the misbegotten
Cursed to wander the desert of the unloved
Thirst and hunger through the mist of eternal pain
Starved of amourity
The biting darkness,my old friend.

Alone
At some random airport
In a remote desolate place
Somewhere on some map
Stranded all night long
With nothing to see
Time stopped still
Idle on my hands
Hours stretched
Nothing to do
Sit and wait
And face
My own
Anxiety

Gentle Days and Castaways

With a gentle day,
Comes a nice sunny sky,
With no clouds to the eye,
A careless whisper,
And a time for fun,
With a castaway,
You’re never done,
They watch them simmer,
Under the rising sun,
A chance where they need to run,
And go through the gentle day,
But still be a “difficult”,
Cast-a-way.

The Masquerade

How peculiar it is
To live life behind a mask
Everyday we do our bits
to play along the cast

We’re led along by our heartstrings
Shallow and fickle all
Why are we obsessed with ‘things’?
Never in it for the long haul..

Life has become material and cheap
Yet we all still cosplay
Find something real and deep
These masks we’ll castaway..

Thought Not Full

Sitting trying to say sorry to the person who you hurt the most
or listening to the person who hurt me the most trying to say sorry
The broken me
Fiercely hating empathy
Psychosis my medication
Wishing the part that feels the felts
was disbanded and castaway on desolate sand
Deserted the pest
unclench the fist
Emotions i resist

Goodbye Tomorrow

A voice goes silent
  in the distant wind

No tracks to follow
  no path within

Muses cry
  as shadows fade

Their chorus faint
  with dreams unmade

The past abandoned
  tomorrow gone

This moment orphaned
  the night so long

Goodbye tomorrow
  farewell today

All hope now fleeting
  —time castaway

Thank God, It's Friday

I'm on an island marooned a lonely castaway beached at the waterline launching bottles out to sea abandoned high and dry my boat went down it ran aground but wait what's that I see can it be a footprint in the sand someone to lend a hand my ship's come in it's at the quay no more sending signals from the shore the weekend's here to rescue me

Love Toy

Castaway as an old toy
Broken with rusting parts
Paint pealing wood showing
Thrown away like trash

Pickup and repaired
New paint rust removed
I am no longer blue
Given to a new soul

White heart brand new
Like Christmas morning
Eyes bright and shinning
Smiles lighting up the room

Unwrapped bow removed
Playing all day with you
Gently placed upon bed
Still thinking of you

Tides of Life

I have
to be strong
when the longing
presses...

When
a wind
fiercely,
squeezes
 the link
of the pain...!

When
the loneliness
deafening
thunders,
and my soul
it floods...
when
browses
to cross
the storms...
loneliness and
longing,
are tides
that alternate...
low tide
throbs.
high tide
suffocates!

Who suffers
is the heart
this poor sailor
so innocent
 as much
castaway...!

Frankenstein

I often feel like Dr Frankensteins creation.
Abandoned and shunned.
Fatherless.
Searching for my creator to find some answers.
Why? did you do this but never love me.
I became a castaway in a harsh world
Just looking for peace.
Out of the anger built over years
I became a monster.
Wanting acceptance just like anyone else
Being able to prove I am not the monster you think
I want to be human
I want to be loved

Hip hip hooray, I’m on my holiday; at our beach chalet; it’s called Castaway! It is here I stay with my best friend Faye; on soft sand we lay, I could tan all day! Boats bob and sway, we watch them sail away I get soaked from sea spray down at the bay!
