in hysterical humor
she cackles
grand scales of laughter
lost in the higher notes
we stand
ears covered in horror
as she throws back her head
revealing
fangs

I do not know?
Wicked aged woman,
wreaking harm with cauldron,
warty nose, crafty eyes;
Wisdom sees through dark guise!
When riding purple broom,
wild crone cackles at moon.
Warblers on crimson skies.

dread grips world
the failure snide zest
lambs are calm,
top to toe,
thinly veiled sorrow on times
Cackles are flimsy.

The moon
so hazy
in early winter sky
fights to break through
denied, she
casts her spell
undercover
as a door creaks
near me
while streaking
across the sky
a ghostly hag
on her broomstick

The locusts yet screech after dawn
While the buzzard cackles from his perch
The red sun's inflamed in the morn
Snarled traffic pauses to lurch...
Staring into the abyss of an angry rush hour

Moon hatches
star eggs;
she cackles
to get him
home.
Drunk Sun
roams around.

Orange tan conceals
the whiteness of the ghost
subtle cackles sound
You’ve got to be a spirit
cries mystical rastaman
He stumbles along
still offering redemption
to those fading ghosts
The song silhouettes the sky
Spirit can defeat the ghost

Land of laughs and cackles
An amusement park built to lighten any mood
Freed shackles
Falling down slopes
Chewing on bites of funny food
Lift hopes
You see
Life is not rude
Whee!
Land of laughs and cackles
Chewing on bites of funny food
Whee!

Time In A Tabernacle
There was the time we were in a tabernacle,
And then instead of singing always cackles;
In tune were not,
So had to fill slot;
Sang so loud put me in chains and shackles.

Limerick
Looked in a mud puddle and saw a witch.
She laughed at me. The mean ‘ole crone.
I was not happy certainly not amused.
Her eyes were as dark as a cave without light.
She crooked her finger and tried to speak.
I ran as if bowels of hell were waiting.
Hair stood straight up as I heard her witch cackles.

Wild woman campfire with amber eyes
Dynamite gathering for happy seasoned crones
Ethereal magic in a boxed setting with a joyful squeak.
Dry crackling barn grass thrown on fire by winking slaves
Whose witch cackles rise gloriously
And Eyes are dancing and prancing
In the lantern-like light of the campfire.

The little yellow frogs
are pumping their thighs
creating synchronous ripples
over the lily pond,
it's a musical moment
but a silent one.
A Blue Jay cackles-out,
its scolding rattle
slaps my ears.
The frogs for a short while
croak back,
then return
to their silent work-out,
water music resumes.

fog's fingertips creep
moon silently cackles, grins...
soft glow on blackness
twisted trees moan, creak
pumpkins' wrinkles choke, dig deep...
lit up distortions
shuffling, shifting steps
spirited procession, screams...
smiles flash, trick or treat!

Birds seen flying together in large flocks tonight
Words of warning sounds emit as coos and cackles
Herds of cows start running toward the barn door light
Blurred together as a murder of black crows and grackles

Let the joker rest.
Let the cackles
of his wicked laugh
echo
off stone walls.
Let the Joker’s
riddles go unsolved.
He only thinks
he knows the answers.
Let the inhabitants
ponder their deeds.
Let the residents
see their lives
are one act plays
But streets of Gotham
are safe for now.
Although ill minds
make them do
what they do
listen to their pleas
and walk away.

I'd had enough,
Of pain and scenes.
I planned an escape
Unheard, unseen.
I wished to flee,
So I flapped my wings
But in place, there were
Hard and strong strings.
A call I heard,
Which warmed my heart
Unbidden it came
On my fledglings' part.
Were I to fly?
What then of them?
Young and innocent
Invaluable gems.
So I settled
For a life in shackles.
I'd face all,
For their endless cackles.

Out of the gulf came a voodoo child
spawned from the depths of hell,
And cast upon this melting pot
her black magic spell.
And the voodoo child she watches
her dark potion swell
To envelop and engulf the
poor serf and peasant.
Now the dead of the past
greet those of the present,
And form their bonds 'neath
the citie's pale crescent.
And the voodoo child she cackles and
twirls her feathers of fowl and pheasant.

Even as the cold light of dawn breaks over the horizon,
I shudder at the thought of the darkness inside...the poison.
Even as the day gets progressively warm,
I shiver at the chill, at the thought of the storm,
the storm that's raging inside.
Even as we speak, I can hear it...
the cackles of a witch, even I have to admit.
I'm sorry...I wish I could say,
as in the cold light of day,
it dawns on me that I was wrong.

She shuts her eyes.
They called it sleep.
They shut the door.
They extinguished the lights.
At 3am.
she awakens.
Her body deceased,
she could not move.
She notices herself,
dancing with the devil.
He claps his hands.
He grins at her.
Suddenly he cackles.
She stops to glance.
She sees his face.
His eyes like death,
looks like her friend.
he shoves her down.
She cracks her neck.
He smirks at her,
then strolls away.

Voices scream in terror,
They cry, pained whimpers left echoing in your ears,
And you can't escape.
Running frantically,
Fire in waves of relentless fury surrounding your path,
You can't escape.
This Hell, mustered from fear itself-
Your enemy- cackles,
The shadows reflected from the fire swarming you, invading internally.
Internally indeed,
With no chance to escape the devilish imagination of the mind,
You live your life in Hell.

Fraud and deception of the affluent eyes
Toss my purpose aside and let me hemorrhage humiliation
Drops of unappreciative pain plaster and soil black
Cackles to hide my mammoth of hurt
Echo through a maze of sovereigns and numeric cipher
I’m a non-significant member of manuscript
An unknown, a recluse, a bother
Gauche trials of loss and fray
Matter to none who play the game
Yet in our tightly packed world
The Joker is always included.

Don't take as song, what the media cackles.
They're just bull horned harlots for politicians.
Who'd sell your marrow to the lowest bidder-
They lust for our division to maintain power.
For a people united is poison to them
(a cross in the face of a vampire).
Citizens united would mean term limits.
No more heavenly wage increases...
Their necks would be short leashed.
Insider trading would all but cease....
but only in a good citizen's dream.

Skeleton’s hand holds a ball
A crystal ball for reading -
Those minds of the unwary
To spy on victims
Skeleton just holds the ball
So the witch can look through it
To peer right at the evil -
She’s recently done
She cackles a wicked laugh
With a flourish she takes off
Riding her small broom of death
With her crystal ball
Waiting below her is fear
For her power is immense
She curses those that oppose
Causing great torment

The radio cackles in the night
Tasking patrols to domestics, break-ins and a fight
You listen for your call sign
Whilst the radio continues its grind
Delta 10 a group of youths causing a disturbance
Roger we are on our way our message is sent
Delta 10 we are away
We talk to the youths and send them on their way
Delta 10 we're resuming youths have been moved on
We are back on the air now
Listening to the police radio for know how.
