Friends Live Forever

She shuts her eyes.
They called it sleep.
They shut the door.
They extinguished the lights.

At 3am.
she awakens.
Her body deceased,
she could not move.
She notices herself,
dancing with the devil.
He claps his hands.
He grins at her.

Suddenly he cackles.
She stops to glance.
She sees his face.
His eyes like death,
looks like her friend.

he shoves her down.
She cracks her neck.
He smirks at her,
then strolls away.
