Something Vexes Thee
Hexed; perplexed- I find myself so very vexed!
We all avoid or evade the Truth
Death has bellowed, and I am next-
I mourn and miss my loss of Youth......

That Day Has Come
That day has come
When I must leave
The wind bellowed with the thought
Tore your spirit apart
Left you breathless and incoherent
Sorry it had to be this way...

My Daughter's Tears
My daughter’s tears
bring pain
that stupefies
behind her back
a freshly picked flower
upon her tongue
a love-filled “Dad”
my bellowed response
a terrible
“WHAT??”...

Tantrum
four years old he stood
screaming
in his window
a nice redfaced tantrum for all the
street to see
nice superman underwear too
his arms were outspread like he would
jump
and his anger
bellowed
silent
behind the glass...

Premium Member hillbillies dairy cow
Hillbillies got a dairy cow and trained it up right
It mooed and bellowed all through the first night
Drank some moonshine and did a crazy petootsie dance.
So silly and funny, the fireflies flitted and flew as if in a trance....

Bellowed Words
Strive.
Succeed.
Do your best,
Is what people
taught me when I was
growing up. Continue
your education after
high school. Don't stop and never give
up. I hear those words bellowing in
my ears. That's why I have not given up....

Premium Member Needle In the Hay
The hayride proved fun for all I must say

Until I jumped up and bellowed, “Oy Vey!”

     Other couples’ heads poked out

Just to learn what made me shout

(I’d sat upon a needle in the hay.)

Bouncy bountiful blustery buxom Babs
Brought Bossy Bonnie beautiful blueberries
Bonnie baked Babs’ brother blueberry bisque
Bashful Barry bet Babs that Bossy Bonnie believed
Barry could become her beleaguered boyfriend

Savage Hands
They traced the boundaries
And split the minds
A savage then bellowed
Come hold my hand
Loyalties maimed
Even the gods' they cried
Grace just scattered
For the tears to dry
Will these contours
Just blur and conjoin
When hearts doth speak
Shatter thoughts so weak --

The Pains Over
it's over
it's over
i bellowed this morning

it's over
it's over
i screamed as the sun was dawning

it was a battle i wasn't gonna lose
throughout the battle all the suffering and abuse

kisses and hugs to everyone who helped me see
without them i wouldn't be me

RIP to the angels who took their own lives

i'm daisy tyrrell and this story is mine...

Stroking
.

        Thus sat I
 athwart her boarding
 as the train’s whistle
         bellowed

         I panting
stroking mine beard in
       anticipation
   mine pen and slip
           excited
     to cast each her
        chary glints
             when
            CRACK
     back mine head
       mine consort
      her ring baring
           jealous...

Premium Member Until I Cannot Stand
"Until I cannot stand!"
he bellowed as he smiled
when asked how long he planned
to love his only child

I sit with him by choice
until I cannot stand
the tremor in his voice,
the tremble of his hand

He asked to see his land
and there, said "I will farm
until I cannot!"... Stand
now, Poppa, take my arm...

That spring my Poppa died
but I still feel him and
know he'll be at my side
until I cannot stand...

Premium Member A Simple Chill
A simple chill
A silent glow
A land held still
By shackles of snow

The flakes in swarms
Approach the drift
The raging storm
Begins to lift

Though winter's wrath
Is cloaked in charms
Shoveled paths
leave weary arms

Bellowed and poked
The home fires flare
giving life to the smoke
that danced in mid air

Time passes slow
and the world is held still
And the winter did grow
From the simplest of chills...

Premium Member Animals Find Comfort In a Skull
Joyful frog sat on the rock and bellowed his happy song.
His banjo twanging a rhythm that was totally strong.
Isn’t that part of a human? Isn’t it kind of wrong?
Asked a hippie-like toad who was lighting up a bong.

It might have been part of a human back in the day.
But it has been sitting in the sun, and it’s here to stay.
We must find comfort in whatever we find said a vole.
As he took a swan dive into the skull’s left eye hole....

Whooooo Are You
the wise old owl said ‘whoooo’
‘tis me’ replied lady nightingale
and the owl repeated ‘whoooo’
‘open your eyes’ said lady
‘my eyes are shut, whoooo’
lady remarked ‘I told you, who is me’
sharply the owl said ‘don’t who me’
‘but it is me that is who’ uttered lady
the owl turned his head, my ears are shut’
lady fluttered her wings with disgust
‘I feel the air; I’d like to know you’
lady glanced over and bellowed ‘I don’t give a hoot”...

Premium Member Storm Clouds
I played your song all the way home,
the sky looked down and bellowed;
Two twin flames ripped apart,
a perfect night ravaged by the clock;

The sky looked down and bellowed;
Memories are rooted in divine timing;
A perfect night ravaged by the clock,
storm clouds exploded as we released;

Memories are rooted in divine timing,
two twin flames ripped apart;
Storm clouds exploded as we released,
I played your song all the way home....

5-Second Rule
A piece of Peggy’s favorite
Chocolate candy fell from her
Fingertips as she was about
To put it in her waiting mouth;
It landed on the kitchen floor.
She quickly bent her head downward
While at the same time bellowed out
“5-second rule!”, then proceeded
To kneel and swiftly scooped it up
And popped it into her mouth.
The following morning Peggy
Lays quietly in a strange bed
While a nurse is taking her pulse
And the doctor enters and smiles....

Premium Member Church Bells

The church bells echoed
     chimes across the field
          and filled the air with
wonders of their cause.

At first my ears
     deciphered peace and joy-
          yet too, those echoes
shed a solemn tone.

The church bells echoed
     chimes across the field;
          their mournfulness now
bellowed through the sky.

Those echoes touched
my heart- as if I knew
          they tolled in tribute
to a rising soul.

Premium Member Baby Boy Bradley
Mama Mable made music mellow with mood
But baby boy Bradley bellowed and booed
So sensitively she started singing sweetly
Yet the youngster yowled yearningly

Poor perplexed papa peered and pleaded
“No nocturnal nuisances are needed,”
He hurried through the house, his hefty frame hobbled
Baby boy Bradley basked blissfully with his bedtime bottle

When I Lay Down
A tapestry of clouds
Gathered like blue-gray smoke
That bellowed from a cigar
Made in Havana

A sea of mountains
Rise up like Mythological Gods and
Jagged edges made of
Dark-brown German chocolate

A gust of peppermint air
Shakes loose the weak branches of
A wild sycamore tree

Then a jubilant display of radiant
Light burst through bashful clouds
Awakening a field of orange-gold poppies

When I lay down,
Both feet are planted firmly on the ground...

Unsound
Bellowed meek presence, Surpassed adolescence
Of wanting the imaginable, Realization was the inhabitable
For did I not love myself enough, To seek what was the dream of
An imaginary place, My love cried for empty my space
Unsound love, In momentary pleasure thereof
It never did penetrate, Though womb like fate
Pleasure came pleasure left, G-spot repressed
Bought back to life at the same time, Empty stood the vessel mime
Enacted muse, A wanting give to lose

Premium Member We Tried Time
we tried time

for many of our own discrepancies
there is not enough we bellowed
from cave to condominium
grabbed disrespectfully its minutest
portion and dragged it to court.

there is the job lined up,
on the line or maybe in line
the latest craze to master

the kinder need camp
planning for the future
and must keep up with those Jones
whom ever they may be
no one has ever found them, yet.

untouched time moved on
as it always will
pitying we poor folks....

Vegan Aardvark
THEN the skies bellowed a frothy glitter and d o w n became up &
sideways turned horizontally truthful
said the vegan Aardvark.

   THE Policeman chewed his m0uth-
side and a Red Ant crawled out from his nostril damn-us (Quatrain 173) &
my pillow has luscious lips from some disembodied woman who once cared
for me. The rest of this delirious

prose is buried in an unmarked book

within a discount store on the far

side of the Moon.
