usually anger, frustration, end of the day and tiredness got him worked up. THe best thing is to put him in his room and let him cry it out. it was not acceptable to have the rest of the family suffer because one was having a tantrum. Learning to deal with frustration is a valuable lesson, but hard on the parents. I can't tell you how many times I left a full grocery cart because one child or another started throwing a tantrum in the store. When they were calm they could come out

Cute. Hope to relate someday with one of my own little tantrum throwers. I guess my first question as a parent to be (like 3 or 4 years from now though) is what got him all worked up. the second question is what to do when he gets like this to calm him down, since I get the feeling kryptonite won't do the trick:)
