In red autumn,

Whistling through
This wind...

There, just behind
The thick branches,
Are aspens, in the woods,

Hope Understood
Aspens listen
To this
Chatter of
The wind
The robin’s call
Lost in
The woods
No hesitation,
Hope understood...

We Surrender All

We surrender all
The sweet aspens trees
Surrender their golden leaves,
While singing soft hymns,
From the choir pews
Then, we surrender all...

Woodland Scene
A silent stream runs through the woods
Where deer meander by
As aspens send their roots so deep
And branches to the sky

Flowers fill the forest floor
Their scents like perfumes rare
And birdsong fills the glades of green
To fill the sun kissed air...

FEBRUARY

Fiercely independent these
Eclectic February days.
Bravado, masked in the madness of
Revelry’s raucous, windy,
Ululations bowing the
Aspens in prayerful
Resignation to the simmering
Yearnings of Spring.

The September's Neva
The St. Petersburg river Neva
has sunk into yellow birches,
The St. Petersburg river Neva
has sunk into quivering aspens,
And into the dark-blue eyes of one woman.
River Neva has dressed up into autumn,
River Neva has decorated herself with gold leaves.
She thinks about something with smile -
Summer will come back again....

A Beautiful Day
Yellow aspens in mid September,
The faint smell of sage and dampened grass.
A beautiful day to remember
As I sit on the hillside to glass
A world of which I'm not a member.
Raucous camp-robber jays holding class,
Maple trees and Oak brush like embers ,
Elk graze in herds on the saddle pass.

This scene, this day will last forever!

Premium Member I Hear the Sighs
Approaching the meadow, I hear the sighs Breezes whispering through the aspens While beautiful flowers astound my eyes Approaching the meadow, I hear the sighs While fluffy clouds dart across the skies And I realize this is where it all happens Approaching the meadow, I hear the sighs Breezes whispering through the aspens.

Premium Member Aspens Quake: Hexsonnetta
The copse of aspens quake.
Horses graze and cows laze
as languid summer splays
emeralds in its wake,
low fields to overtake
the prospect's cyan glaze.

Immutable the sun
in lambent saffron drape
above the lucid scape
contemplates the glisten,
auscultates the paean,
the whispering of crepe

as runes the leaves impart
to dulcify the heart.*
