What happened in Satan's brain
To bring on so much acid rain?
Why would he even try to decieve?
In only Jesus I believe!
Lovers lips promise despair
The needle-
Full of poison,
Houses acid daydreams
Choices are made
This is a celluloid end.
Like stomach acid
Your observant scrutiny
Digests every flaw;
While the weak wooers scurry
The patient one grows stronger
The one who would be all:
Brother, friend, mother, preacher,
A listening ear
And a ready handkerchief,
Mefenamic acid,
Love.
Breathing in acid rain,
seeing red,
wrath burns through translucent veins,
heartbeat rattles against a jilted sternum.
blazes summertime
a solid, acid rock melts
drips like a pebble

an inward battle
anxiety leads to stress
then acid reflux

You took my heart for a ride
A shopping spree
And a jet-wash last year
I spent a week on acid
A credit card diet
And a bicycle, out of fear.

Though she speaks in rhyme
Hatred and filth she spews forth.
Acid tongue hurts all.
for Irma's contest
Dark skies...
Burning souls...
Acid rain...
Raging storms...
but still...
I'm off to save the world.
Pretty Betty was pretty placid,
Until she smelled butyric acid.
She ran out of the lab,
And hailed herself a cab.
And did not stop until Lake Flaccid.
Samuel Langhorne Clemens
had a wit as acidic as a lemon
to many pompous people he was a pain
especially with his pen name Mark Twain
Calm and collected,
relaxed and non affected,
bang, like a bolt out of the blue,
no, not you??
bellowing,
acid tongue,
for goodness sake,
SHOULD BE HUNG!!!
Until you truly answer the question,
“Why do I write poetry”
You’ll never really wed the verse,
—your copyright estranged

Donald Trump approves Acid Rain
To nourish our farmland again
Public health gets the boot
As Dick Cheney yells, "Shoot!"
You know how Trump hates John McCain!
Acid in the rain
Chances it won't heal again
Leaves our earth in pain

i am illiterate-
inconsiderate
scum. my blood
is running rum,
my tears are acid
leaving burns
down my face.
words curse, rapid
force of a mind
unlearned.
hot liquid
bubbling cauldron...
witches brew
sulphuric acid
nostrils flare...

on mountain crevice...
blister patch
for PD's contest
50N sulfuric acid
If sprayed on any fabric
Instantly turns it to rags
Just like some absences
Which sweep as a storm
N'tatter our souls
Bruise our hearts
Up to
shreds.
Crank acid Andy
One day one drop
Swing center falling
One man one flop
Once Mommies dandy
All dance no style
Crashed on the stoop
Been dead for awhile
A heart without a home
Can cause one much pain.
A mind on the troll
Can cause one much shame.
A life all alone
Feels like acid rain.
Loneliness knows me by name

Nature’s Regiment
By Valerie D. Staton
Nature’s regiment
Adorned in camouflaged suits
Brown and android green
Bravely battle brazen winds
Defeated by acid rain
Regretting past mistakes
results in sad feelings
remorse fosters sorrow
releasing acid tears
recalling how he lied
repeatedly; till you
removed him from your life.
I’d rather dive into this hopeless river.
I am not weak, I will not shiver!
My spit is acid and eats through bars.
I will let the freezing wind tear through my scars.
