Samuel Langhorne Clemens
had a wit as acidic as a lemon
to many pompous people he was a pain
especially with his pen name Mark Twain
Until you truly answer the question,
“Why do I write poetry”
You’ll never really wed the verse,

Crank acid Andy
One day one drop
Swing center falling
One man one flop
Once Mommies dandy
All dance no style

My dark deeds
Of shame and filth,
My coward confessions
of cupidity and sin,
My redblooded eyes
Murders of innosense,
Yahweh! to you I cry,
Wash away my stains
Pour some acid rain.
Grey heavenly skies
in reaction to her hurt
clouds so different
In cry, falls, penetration
acid rain erodes her so

If the moon lights up the darkness
Let all scars be healed from pain
Let the stars shine in acid rain
I want to feel alive again
3rd place
When a fourth line helps it to rhyme

I used to love juice
acid reflex changed that
after it came back up
going down it was delightful
coming back up
not so much
acid reflex has ruined juice for me
and jalapeno peppers and Cheetos too
Acid Rain
How quickly the soothing sound of raindrops
turned to bitter trickles dripping from the
black umbrella onto our hearts.

he whips up a thunderstorm
of furious acid
looming above an ocean black,
vast and placid,
snorting through billows of smoke scalding,
deathly white,
the god of the seas, once again,
will show his might.
july turns the page
choking on august's breathless
unbearable days...
humid-silenced chimes
sunlight's once-joy gasps, heat-drained

A perfectly predictable purplish tabby cat misbehaves
Dancing across magnificent magpies excavated graves
Squirming yellow shining housefly larvae she enslaves
Swimming through thick sticky b-positive tidal waves
A polka dotted butterfly with stiletto and cream shaves
Woke up from deep peaceful sleep
Acid reflux turquoise troubling me
With regret I rethink what'd I eat
Cheesy potato skins culprit me thinks
The food is rebelling behind my breast
Like blue boat sailing in my chest
Gas and vomit won’t let me rest
I must eat better I cranberry confess
Acid tears of salt and grief
all bottled up to send
across the ocean to a thief
who ran away again.
archaic eyes in charcoal gray
painted on the wall
a mural of the way you stray
especially in the fall
In the fall
of love and hope
you strangle me again
like the dead tree with a rope
fresh knotted by a friend.
Don't remember me
when you can't see.
Just have glee
without me.
Can't you see?
The Queen of Black Acid
is in the city of Galilee.
So take my box of rain
and try to ease the pain.
Walking down the valley of statues
in France
you watch the Queen dance
while she is in a trance
and maybe we will forget
and take a second glance.
I just want to touch you
I promise I will not cry
For my tears I can hold back
Long enough to try
Watering eyes
I move closer to your skin
A thought of ecstacy flashes by
Tears roll down to my chin
Your scarred flesh
Again, wipes them dry
Smell of smoldering skin fills the room
As I being to cry
I am to be nothing
We can never be
My acid tears
Will not kill me
Remember and that is what it is. The voice the sound all around. Can desperation find truth and talk in parables. Trails smells hells it's all the bell.
New truth is brute is good or bad. When the ACID takes over thee eye by eye see why.
Can you imagine or can you think. Now here is the trick. Believe what and don't think it. Now what I just did was that I knew your thought. AND THAT IS ACID!!!!!!!
Singing solo in a silo
The gecko heard his echo
It IS Illegal, cried jealous sea gull
Regal, Bald Eagle : with a beagle??
A small smew smelt smog
Frantic flying from fluorescent fog
The sound of a quacking, cluck
Reverberates from a Mallard duck
Wings embedded in miring muck
Instinctively knew that he was stuck
Knowing no one gave a flying ****
I lay the small square on my tongue
unaware of the effects
carefree and relaxed amongst "friends"
they leave as the effects kick in
paranoid but trying my hardest
to forget about it
convincing myself noones out there
everything will be fine with time
i start thinking...thinking to much in fact
knowing this will only be the beginning
of the worst trip of my life
noone around...noone to help in my time of need
I used to like an ice-cold strawberry or lime margarita
salt all around the edge of a goblet or mug
If this was unavailable, I might have a white Zinfandel
They are tasty too
If you are young and in good health
As I aged a strange malady happened – acid reflux
I would enjoy liquor going down
but not so much when it came back up
After a few bouts of this, I gave up liquor
It was not worth the horrible, awful aftermath
Thank her, thank her
thank her
She'll say for what
She'll wait for you
anwser
You'll say
Thank you very much
You'll try to find conversation
and work your mind to
speak
You'll say
Ah dah, ah dah
She'll say your
A freak
You'll smile and
walk away
With your feelings
Hurt
She say somethings
and say you're a jerk
Get yourself together
Walk away with pride
The jerk she sees
and the man you are
doesn't coincide
You're toxic you
Burn like acid rain
You're toxic radiating
So much pain
Would it be wrong
do you think?
To put some arsenic
In your drink
To go and get
Some rope if ya will
And practice my
My knotting skills
To go out and buy
A shiney forty-five
Be in your face
And put if between your eyes
Your toxic you
Burn like acid rain
Your toxic radiating
So much pain
Your toxic you
Burn like acid rain
Your so f--king toxic
You make me insane
In fluent argot like a profound inchoate
Chthonic patronizing blood paroxysmally folds in curdles
You illuminate none but yourself with a pleasant scapegrace idiocy
Dishevelled and voluble in dark ages of medieval filth
Legerdemain to my vituperate wills and wanders
Anything in purge of the death of proclivity, namely yours
Crepuscular black skies, fugacious and oneiric...you dissolve them
Caviler
Caviler
Caviler
Abate your breaths
You need to cry
It's building up
But you're not in a place where you can
You think it will just go away
If you sleep it off
But if really never does
More and more keeps on adding
Until it's a flood and you can bear no more
Before you know it you're drowning
Gasping for air
It's burning
Eating you up inside
It won't ever go away
Even though you're told different
What do they know anyway
It keeps on raining
Drowning
Gasping for air
(Dark Pool of Light, 2011 original oil)
Acid and Alkali Dreams
Two sides
Of the same coin
Through different filters
Day and night
Pure and adulterated
Sweet and sour
Slippery and sharp
Regular and extra-ordinary
Working together
To keep the balance
By keeping us always
A little off
Neither this nor that
Always some doubt
On the spectrum of possibility
