July Turns the Page -- Acid Summer

july turns the page
choking on august's breathless
unbearable days...

humid-silenced chimes
sunlight's once-joy gasps, heat-drained
~ hallucinating

When I lived in Israel many years ago, in a desert region, summer was also from April into September, often reaching back into March and leaking into October... Now, however, the weather's changed somewhat. Used to be the forecast in the Beit Shan Valley was the same March 25 - October 10: 40 degrees Celsius for a high temperature and no rain. Now things vary... The world turns. Cheers, Gershon
