Shape shifter

That green eyed monster is watching you, hard to detect when it's around.
Like a shape shifter demon taking many forms, to manipulate, you it's found.
Now should you be nervous ? Hell you should !
Splintered razor nails, have their grip.
But you can't feel the presence of a flesh eater yet, because you're hypnotised and it's taken a sip.
Your kindness is weakness, it's sad to say. When there's such blood sucking creatures around.
So take this as a warning, before you start falling, and the life within you has drowned.

Premium Member My Dream As a Shape Shifter

I was a nervous young fawn
Tasting sweet April grass in a lovely meadow
Sensing danger, realizing wolves were surrounding me
Bam!

I had shapeshifted into one of them.
Their alpha was sharp, he sensed I was still a deer.
He urged them to close in.
Wham!

I am now an eagle,
soaring high above the pack, out of reach
Even their alpha looks confused
I do not think they understand shape shifters.

It’s the circle of a trickle sliced from snow
at the mountain’s very top.
Widening and lengthening, it gushes and grows,
and at the steepest slopes it rushes - cascading
as a froth of diamonds
sparkling in sunlight.

Splitting where big boulders sit,
it splashes on its drifting way.
Shifting - ever shifting - it tumbles
over countless stones and gravel
or meanders with susurration until at last,
it is a river.

Broad or narrow; shallow or deep,
it can be tempestuous at times,
while other times
it’s as placid as
patches of mellow moonlight spilled from sky.
At last it flows to where, estuarine,
it melds with the destiny of other river shifters -
Oceanic.

Soul Shifter

I step out of myself, it's the only way,
To escape the memories of the anguish and pain,
My focus shifts to you, replenishing love,
I can no longer feel the sting your beatings have caused,
The stubborn numbness you inflict upon me, in my silence you can't hear,
My heart bleeding loves purpose, My soul takes me there,
With every blow you throw at me, the deeper I go,
I let you believe that your in control,
You can't look into my eyes, because your too busy inflicting,
You can't see past my pain, because you still think that your winning,
The tears I shed are no longer mine,
They are brought to my God for you the whole time,
Don't act like you know me, because surely you don't,
When I fall to my knees your abuse has no hold.

Emotional Shape-Shifter

emotional shape-shifter....
able to switch from mood
to mood in the blink of an eye
emotional shape-shifter....
never know where it will
rear it's ugly head
emotional shape-shifter....
always waiting
always larking
within the shadows
emotional shape-shifter....
waiting for the right
moment to attack
the unsuspecting
victim
emotional shape-shifter....
since it can not be anticipated
it can not be destroyed it will
live forever praying on the poor
weak willed passers by
emotional shape-shifter....

She Was a Shifter

He had landed a pretty lady
and now she was finally home
then visit to the shower room

She came out very different
he had finally picked up
a morbid shape shifter..

All the beauty washed down
by the enchanted shower
all the beauty washed away

He opened a bottle of liquor
he needed to calm his nerves
to be able to proceed forth

And offer his supplications
to the fate for dealing him
these mad tidings of her..

Premium Member The Parcel Shifter

At the station was a handsome parcel shifter...
Several parcels on his trolley,
and an eye for me.
Oh the depth of his blue eyes!
Even an ocean would not have that blue...
He had his mouth slightly open... to speak?

But I was shy and looked down at his parcels,
and began counting them in my head
as if I were his Inventory Controller...
as if he had done something wrong.
"Oh yes, five parcels,
and you should carry six!"

Later, I thought about his mouth, slightly open,
and gave him words to say, like,
"Where have you been all my life?
Let me kiss you in the Parcel Office."
Then I would have smiled,
and hoped my undies were worthy of inspection.

when madness takes her..
brows deepen to arches,
nose crumples to a knot of skin,
lids squeeze into white fists.

Third Shifter Fog

Coming off third shift, My brain in a haze… Feeling worn and ancient, Dragging through the day’s maze.

I got home exhausted— As tired as a dog. Reached for a drink— Spilled water in the fog.

Grabbed for a sponge… But what did I meet? In my sleepy confusion— A Rice Krispie treat?! ??

My knees were aching, And so was my back. Tried to brush my teeth— Dropped the toothpaste cap!

Rummaging for cereal, With hunger in my belly, Found a bag and took a bite— Wait... was that jellyfish deli?! ????

Ran for mouthwash To cleanse that awful taste— Gargled boldly— Soap?! I spat in haste! ??

Night crept back in. Time to get dressed. Buttoned my shirt… Gave it my best.

But outside in the breeze— Someone gave a yell. “What is that smell?!” I couldn't quite tell…

Then I looked down— One shoe was black, one was blue. And on one unlucky sole… Was the culprit of the pew! ????

The Shape Shifter

Agreeable yet contrary
Friend sometime adversary
Willing yet stubborn
Ignorant sometimes to learn
Rich and poor in a myriad of ways
Driven and focused still to laze
Answer with contradiction
Fact yet fiction
Possessed with unseen truth
Believing only what it can use
Self centered and giving
One but fractured living
No single thought to remain
Even though a familiar refrain
Solid yet a quivering mass
Moving forward through the past
Lost in a moment eternity to last
The shape shifter moves in liquid cement
Anchored by the foot in the moment
Always the same but in constant change
Solid logic lost in mental derange
Not knowing what he display
Thinking himself a molded array
The shape shifter exterior so stiff
Inside the jelly rests and sits
The name of the shape shifter
Man, yes man it is
