I met a retired Soldier,
I met a retired Doctor,
I met a retired Teacher—
But I’ve never met a retired Preacher.
I learnt what respect truly means,
The weight of pain and quiet devotion,
The love behind being a soldier—
Dying for a nation that might forget you.
Even retiring feels like a battle won.
The Doctor too saves lives,
Sweating with a racing heart,
Carrying the hopes of a whole family,
Knowing they believe: “He will save them.”
And bearing the pain of saying,
“I’m sorry… we lost him.”
The Teacher was only loved
By the students inside the classroom.
Underrated by both government and community—
Yet holds the power to change them both.
Still, he shapes tomorrow with a parent's care.
The Preacher is like a debt collector.
His sainthood makes him almost divine.
He leads with calm and faithful words—
Gaining little bits here and there,
While the believer holds onto every promise.
So, I chose to learn.
To grow into a Teacher,
To be loved by my students,
To shape a world we all dream of.
And through the Preacher—
To learn how to give hope.

Graced to Serve
Graced by Your light, I rise to humbly praise,
Placed in Your care, my heart begins to sing,
Faced with Your love, my soul forever stays,
Embraced by grace, new strength You daily bring.
Chased from despair, Your mercy lights my way,
Based on Your truth, my path is clear and bright,
Faced with Your call, I gladly choose to stay,
Paced by Your will, I walk in holy light.
Braced for trials, Your peace remains my shield,
Laced with Your hope, my spirit soars above,
Faced with Your joy, no fear can make me yield,
Traced by Your hand, I serve with boundless love.
Placed in Your service, thankful I remain,
Chased by Your grace, I praise Your holy name.

My creed means to me,
Kind smiles for all I see,
Alms for donations,
Lord my liberation,
Serving the community,
Praying for you and me,
Believers are human too,
In our mortal zoo,
Creed means I can say,
Be you beautifully today!

I've been served lots of unappetizing things
that simply did not please my palette.
Being force fed with bitter or insincere words
is unappealing presented as a crisp green salad.
I would rather be underfed and malnourished
than to feast on something too briny or cheesy.
I won't feast on a buffet of regurgitated foods,
like dill pickles offered as sour grapes... sleazy.
Nothing has more stench to me than rotten food.
As an example, mold spores inside blue roquefort,
and don't ask me to swallow one bite of sarcasm.
That would take far too much of my time and effort.
I'd spit out a spoon of any soup if in it swims a fly,
or if the spices were added by the hand of a hypocrite.
A warm peach cobbler would make a scrumptious dish
as long as inside there'd not be left on purpose... a pit.

Lent
Lent can be a time to give up:
chocolate
alcohol
cell phones
television
computers
cursing
smoking
While they are all good
What if we did:
pray more
serve at a homeless shelter
spend more time with family
go to church
read the Bible
call a sick friend
help a single mother
Lent is more than giving up something.
It is about loving and serving God
and loving and serving others
as Jesus did for us.

Love is not first come first serve
Its felt comes unexpected
No one really knows how it felt
Sometimes unexplainable and exciting
No one really knows how it happens
You can only hope the one you love
Has the feeling the same how you felt also
The surprise is when you felt it
There's a sudden burst of happiness
Happiness that is wholesome and fulfilling
There is a chemistry that attracts both body
No matter what happen only both souls
Knows the experience that is emotional
Spiritual and lavish joy unexplainable.

Observe Your serve,
When you're on the last nerve,
Your mind Leaves the preserve,
Swerving into Emotional reserves,
Be sure to observe what you serve,
As you swerve into a dangerous curve,
You may get something you don't deserve.

HAIKU MAXIMS FOR EVERYDAY DEALING WITH YOUR BOSS
If you want to hear
Your boss decreases his voice
Quickly admit your fault
The sigh of your boss
Is a sign of frustration
Caused by your follies
Always treat your boss
As professional, and be
Not too familiar

“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime.” - Martin Luther
With gentle hands, He molds the soul
Breathing light past timeless shadows
Singing psalms of grace who’ll console
Loved by One who died and arose
His kindness paints admirers glad
In words of belief the heart knows
Singing joy to those who are sad
Loved by One who died and arose
With a soft voice, He stills the storms
Bringing peace everywhere He goes
Changing fates for those He reforms
Loved by One who died and arose
His word assures us that we’re free
Because of love that grows and grows
Grace holds answers, the real key
Loved by One who died and arose
With praises lifted so He’ll hear
I’m so thankful I’m one He chose
Because of Him, I’ll never fear
Loved by One who died and arose

When God commanded the light to shine
out of earth’s darkness, the light obeyed.
Then He sent the Light, His Son, divine
to earth - God’s glory thru the Christ conveyed.
This Light of the World has ascended
back to His Father from whom He came.
But His Spirit He has extended
enlightening all who trust in His name.
We house treasured spirit deep within
bodies easily broken and cheap.
In jars of clay we show mortal men
it’s God alone who has power to keep.

He bellied up to the bar
All cuddly-wuddly thought the barkeep
He ignored the pup
The pup began to whine
I cannot serve you! The barkeep said
You are a baby
The puppy showed him ID
It said he was twenty-six years old
Sorry, the barkeep apologized.
Afterall, it was his picture
I’d like a pint the puppy barked.

hell swallows it up

The King is in the field, now is the time,
Daily ask for His wisdom and creativity fine.
A glimpse of the future, He will show,
Out of life’s raw material, weave something to glow.
Catch the wind of change, let it be your guide,
Soar like a bird, in heavenly skies wide.
Embrace His blessings, bestowed each day,
And be a blessing, in every possible way.
Serve all with joy and gladness, oh joyful heart,
Let His glory invasion, ignite your every part.
As He entered Peter's boat, without fail,
Let His goodness in every workplace prevail.
For the King is here, His presence profound,
In every field, His glory will surround.
Let every city experience His goodness,
Let every heart, enjoy His kindness.

Today I had a darker memory that stained my eyes
Blurred my vision of truth, which suddenly turned into lies
I noticed how awfully untrue our lives have turned out to be
As I was doubting you, and you were doubting me
And when it came time to speak the words we knew we should say
The memory was repressed beneath the cold and the gray
And secret whispers of regrets filled the air around us all
And carved the words we read in awkward silence on the wall.
But we climbed the wall and trudged through the regrets and pain
Grasping our paper umbrellas beneath the burning rain
With each mile traveled, there lay a broken dream in our way
A pile of filthy memories of the love we had betrayed
With occasional sights of misfortunate decorated with joyful lies
The tragic theater in the silence where we hide the tears each of us cries
Hidden in the shadows awaits another memory to serve,
A relentless reminder of our sins and the pain we all deserve.

Rocks are quite overrated,
Aren't they now?
What can you do with a rock?
With a rock can you even milk a cow?
"We MaKe RoAdS WiTh rOcKs"
Okay, but still, what else is there use?
Can the rocks fix my broken light bulb,
Can they even fix its fuse?
"But that's not what they are meant to do!"
Exactly! So why are people expected to do more?
More than what they CAN do!
Let them do what they can!
Do what can be done by YOU!
