Degeneration

Demoted and downgraded
to quarter of a patient.
Diluted and disremembered.
I wish I could go back.

Abandoned Hope

Graciousness forms
the apparel of the meek,
tempered in blistering
hues of aura crafted
with the breath of
exhaustion sinking
deep into the soul
of the soulless,

there it wanders
with eyes open wide,
a pop of life silenced
by its surroundings,
forsaken lands filled
with despotic nature,
crucified
their interior along
with their exterior,

proceeding cautiously
as it gravitates
toward the center,
connecting humble
origins placing
the palm of its heart onto
forced separation,

the wind wraps
around creating
sanctuary healing
the wounded descent
of sacrifice,

predetermined
by its antecedents,

a child born
through ashes into
the world's callous
ever ruling
appeal.

Ode to the Jodhpur Sky

O Jodhpur sky, vast and wide,
You sparkled late in starry light.
Your silence so deep,
Made my longing heart yield with ease.

Pink and purple in the vesper,
Yellow-orange at dusk, so tender.
You guide and embrace my texture,
My soul wrapped tight in your rapture.

I declare my love to you,
My lips await your touch so true!
My hands & height - so small, so slight,
Will you accept my love, my light?

You stayed with me forever,
You rained when I cried,
You turned dry when I ached,
Is it pity or your love infinite?

I fear to leave - will you miss me?
Or will I lose you and Jodhpur's key?
Will you hide and forget me so fast,
Without a tear, as I fade to the past.

Sonnets Of Seperation

I can see you waving goodbye on the horizon,
Disconnecting me from the warmth of compassion,
Leaving the promises to keep totally unheard,
Quitting the love the other way you preferred.
No difference, though, between a mother's lap and your arms,
In the middle of the way, unfolding the romance.
I know it well; this is not your choice.
Just like me, you wanted to rejoice.
I wish I had a glimpse of how things are set.
Helpless we are, my love, in front of fate.

Can-Do Attitude

It's a question of what you can do.
Well, I can work.
That's what I can do.
Yet, I can't be with people or be friendly.
I just don't have it within me.
That's why I'm outside.
For this, I remain on my hill, on my descent.
It's a crescent just for you and me.
Just think, it's a fact, and that's just the way it is.
Can we agree now that this 'it' has always been?
This way been it, and this way will be it.
The way in the future.
In the way of our kids.
Yes, I can work.
That's what I can do.
Everybody else knows how to play ball.
I've never learned how to play ball.
So the ball don't play me too.

Separated

How could I have known,
How could I have seen?
I listened, but I didn't hear,
We dreamt of different dreams.

And now it seems the end is near,
And all we feel is pain.
The mask of strength has disappeared,
Empty, we remain.

Time will pass, and time will clear,
If you and I were meant to be.
No room for love when hearts have fear,
No room for dreams when you're not free.

Days will come of clear feelings,
Days of growth and understanding.
Days of sun sound so appealing,
For now, my heart for you is standing.

Through the Glass

Lockdown Visions

Separated,
taken away,

through the window, I catch your searching eyes,

I try to wave,

Raindrops slide down
the glass,
and become our tears.

How can such a short distance
Place us so far apart,

We want to be there with you,

To be there,
as your minute's pass,

As the daylight fades to dark,
As starlight fills the night with mystery,

No more worries, no more washing up,
A child, a teenager, a mother,

Caregiver,

Separated,

Separated now,
by stone and glass

and a virus

Tears run down the window,

Our faces
pressed against
Glass.

(Dedicated to all separated from their loved ones in their final moments)

Seperation

I am angry.
I am angry at him,
I am angry at me,
I am angry at everything I let this be.

I am exhausted.
I am exhausted at me,
I am exhausted at you,
I am exhausted after everything I’ve been put through.

I am trapped.
I am caught in a web,
That gets tight and tighter and tighter when I move,
That gets tighter when I feel I have something to prove.

I am tired.
I am tired of excuses,
I am tired of the eyes,
I am so tired of always having to say goodbyes.

I am sad.
I am sad for me,
I am sad for them,
I just can’t wait to see them again.

I cannot lie.
I don’t lie to family,
I don’t lie to friends,
When I say all I my feelings are not pretend.

I want to be home.
I just want to be home,
Hear their noises, smell their smells,
Knowing it’s familiar and all will be well.

I miss them.
I don’t miss you.
I miss them and me together,
Always, through and through.

Premium Member Lost Potential

full of potential
like a timely three act play
the quintessential
long ago and far away
they would find no brighter day

locked close together
as if time could not move them
not knowing whether
they'd handle what was to come
their moorings became undone

hints of rejection
hiding in common place words
like introspection
repeating that's for the birds
little chance for afterwards

no use debating
their future left on that plane
evaporating
like new fallen summer rain
what once was won't be again

Fallen Leaves

The sun sets behind the golden trees -
I drag my feet along.
Something just keeps falling and falling
what and why, I don't know.

Boot heels scraping,
against a grey paved road,
and the breeze hums by.

But there's a difference,
like in a dream -
wish I could tell you why.

Cuz now,
You and I,
We're like fallen leaves -
just rustling in the autumn air,
just running in the wind.

Feel so tired,
wanna catch my breath.
Is it the end this time
for you and I?

First Rose

You called my name, blossomed pink through a screen
Red face, heart race, bewitched I fell sick in bed
A rusting rose emerged from my slivered soul

Before I slept, I remembered the first time I wished we met

The laugh, that made my days glitch
I'm here again, wondering what happened there
There were times, I yearned to see you again.

The Last Time I Knew

For me, only you are worth of my own
The closest I will get in heaven
Is between you and the space between us
Only love can hurt us this time.
Heart like the day we doubted this affection
We at the mercy of the universe,
Utter lack of space and tides,
Let's accolade the life we build,
I know we stuck in the world we created,
Melting eyes is the only anthem we collaborate.
Atleast we tried,
You the only part I'm frightened to leave behind.

How can love be this deadly?
Now I know why the symbol is red
Our ancestors knew,
It's bloody struggles live chains of distress
Concur
Is the sign of defeat
We did try to be civilized like the girl and boy you know
Only God's hand can save us now.

Seperation Anxiety

I wake up thinking I'm next to you
Reaching to where you might be
I feel nothing but cold bed sheets
I hug my pillow and wear your things
I dry my tears and face my fears
I can be without you even though I don't want to
Your my song by day my dreams at night I never know if your real or just a figment of my wildest imagination
The tempest in your eyes
The dreams in your mind
passion at the touch of your fingertips
The love in your heart
It all makes me want to hold you

Heart Song Separation

“We got separated from us last week and I haven’t found you since.” Poet’s Quote

Too long my heart we beat in arrhythmic clashes
Languishing in sudden cardiac heart arrest
Out of sync creating dark vascular ashes
No phoenix rises from heart disease - never rests.

Too long my song we argue over melodies
 Distracted by atonal hallucinations
Dismissing cradle songs of haunting rhapsodies
Elusive harmonies hide in cache creations.

Too long my words we engage in rhythmic stand offs
Glaring at my silent muse - tense verbal showdowns
Impasse of wills – procrastination’s folly doff
Disguised in masks adjectives appear as pronouns.

My aimless soul seeks union with lost heart song words
Remembering your quiet smiles of peace fullness
Your velvet vesper serene these mourning tears blur
As twilight yearns in midnight’s hypnotic stillness.

Too long my heart we beat in arrhythmic clashes
Too long my song we argue over melodies
Too long my words we engage in rhythmic stand offs
My aimless soul seeks union with lost heart song words.

In a Little While

A selfless desire
A heart full of fire
A need for reflection
A life of seduction
In a little while
It all swept away.

The lonely borough
Full of Laughter and the sorrow
All the little lies
Relationships and ties
In a little while
It all swept away

Just me and You
Days gay and blue
Few drops of rain
Start of love again
In a little while
It all swept away
