Ode to the Jodhpur Sky
O Jodhpur sky, vast and wide,
You sparkled late in starry light.
Your silence so deep,
Made my longing heart yield with ease.
Pink and purple in the vesper,
Yellow-orange at dusk, so tender.
You guide and embrace my texture,
My soul wrapped tight in your rapture.
I declare my love to you,
My lips await your touch so true!
My hands & height - so small, so slight,
Will you accept my love, my light?
You stayed with me forever,
You rained when I cried,
You turned dry when I ached,
Is it pity or your love infinite?
I fear to leave - will you miss me?
Or will I lose you and Jodhpur's key?
Will you hide and forget me so fast,
Without a tear, as I fade to the past.
