Seizes Poems

Through life's clenched jaw

See, faced with no one,
yet in my mind I see him everywhere.

The best thing for me;
do not name it,
stitch my mouth,
say nothing.

But silence is never nothing.
Silence is the loudest thing he gives me.

What seizes the eye at once
makes the heart beat between lines.
Utmost, inexplicable, perpetual stimulation.

Now the wind blows mournfully,
and I let it.
Naturally, flagrantly, palpably,
replaying each line,
bona fide, constantly, truthfully, carefully.

Beating through language,
an ache written sideways,
pain grammar cannot hold.

Devil-may-care.
On the edge of a single smile,
he walks through my thoughts.

Every gesture is an answer.
Every lack of gesture is an answer.
I build whole futures
out of unfinished sentences.

Between my wanting
and his unknowing,
through life's clenched jaw,
I cling to the unrequited knowledge
of reciprocity.

Mi Amor

Receiving your heartfelt kisses,
The only moments in which my stubborn loneliness seizes.
For a while we were galaxies apart,
Missing your body, the best work of art.

Mi Amor, the flower I needed;
Through your sweet aroma, my trust issues defeated.
Cause you hold on to me as if I'm falling off a cliff, 24/7.
As you offer a helping hand, an angel of heaven.
They say love is blind, mi amor.
Your essence is the cure,
Opening my eyes to its truest expression.
Without utterance, your persona itself a love confession.

Mi Amor, it's my heart you won.
Hold on to you as I feel my trauma burn.
Chose my designated rose.
So loving is something I re-learn,
All because of mi amor.

Joshua Moore Colorado

Hail needles the skin.
Wind cracks the spine.
The mountain holds,
breath seizes on the tongue.
Snow knives the summits.

Cracked hands fumble dry stone,
paper-thin air slices,
bald eagles tilt in the blast.

Alpine skiers parched,
no more Earth Day banners.
Cherry Creek scrapes its bed.

Feces in the bedpan,
chapped gloss smeared,
cocoa hair salted and smoked.

The Zephyr rattles east,
carrying the mountains backward—
Grand Central dissolves

Plagued by Memories

This, is where it began
A scream
   Blood curdling
An amalgamation of acid and iron
       Coagulates my blood
Mother
   Instinct seizes
     Heart racing
       Legs race faster
Thoughts race out of hand
   A gun to her head?
     No time for weapons
       Fists will do
Around the corner
   My eyes catch glimpse
     five golden corners
        two solemn eyes
Mother
   One word resounds
      From shrieking lips
        No
Over and over
   Over
     And
       Over
That word
   His badge
    Her sobs
      His gaze
Say one shrilling word
    Her lover
      My father
        My father
Gone

Just bloom

"And when she thought,it's the end.",she got wings.".
    Nobody's perfect,right?
Everyone has lied sometimes, everyone has cried,.
  But what matters is ,
how many times we have tried.
The butterfly got judged by the bees,. The trees got the lessons on breeze,.
It's quite funny, how people think ,.
 That reality seizes to exist.
  The life's a garden,.
Let us not compare our colours or fragrance or bloom,.
We are the best flowers of the garden that never complains to bloom.

As the World seizes and falls on itself

Your eyes have grown tired
hunting the fox and owl
You no longer hear peace
when the ball is in your court
Pay attention to yourself
The fields have grown trees
you walk bare footed on sandy loams
As the World seizes and falls on itself
The voices stand 40 seashells away
Wanting to walk on water
Are you taken in by their promises

They will write thick books dedicated to me

Even if I die, my poems will blaze like fire,
Conquering the heart of the Earth entire.
Wise men who once refused to know my name
Will write thick books in my honor and fame.

When the all strength of lies are spent,
Truth seizes them by the collar, intent.
This treacherous world are in endless strife,
Does it ever pause, even for a blink of life?

Oh, my weeping Kazakh, you are in sorrow deep,
Oppression and cruelty their power keep.
Lives are taken, lives are given in the struggle above,
For wealth that offers no one true love!

Cruelty knows no shame or sense of honor,
Avoid it, if you have the strength to conquer.
Though the greedy find the wide world too small,
The earth's grave will have room for all.

May the generations have bright and shining faces,
Let them define their goals and find their places.
May their lives, not just their palaces, shine,
With winters, springs, summers, and autumns divine.

Floridas Homeless Jailed And Now May Die

they shuffle them in,
quiet and cold, like bodies
stacked in a morgue, breathing
in the scent of rot, sweat, piss,
dreams beaten down to dust.

this is where they house
the lost and the broken,
the ones who drank too much,
who listened too little,
who were loved even less.

no place left but these walls,
and four bunk beds rusted thin,
men muttering to ghosts
no one else can see.

one falls, another seizes,
and the third—she dies.
inside, it's just a shrug.
another takes his place
and to may die.

Premium MemberConstance in the Woodlands

Constance seizes the forest blissfully
Optimistically merging with skies
Such a spirited sprite spins gleefully
Tenaciously trying to mesmerize
Astute sages within the high green trees; thus,
Nymphs seek to sustain a bejeweled prize
Zestful branches dance with the maiden of
Ardent constancy, delightfully wise.
Lest she be a bird that soars eternally
Escaping the hiding place amongst butterflies
Embraced by Cosmos, care-free and earthy
Encircled by spry stellar mysteries
Fine fairies fare well, fearlessly flying
In fanciful fortified flower fields

Momentary Head Fake

There are some things
you can only sing
but never say

There are some things
given out but once
in the foray

There are some things
that the world lays claim
and takes its due

There are some things
past the cloud of time
you must pursue

Living on the edge
is sharper
cut or not

Dying for that
final answer
knowing what

Praising what the mob
is damning
come what may

Loving what the
moment seizes
— counterplayed

HAPPY NEW MONTH

It a new dawn
It's another month
September to remember
Remembering
So you'll be grateful
For the privilege to be alive today.

It's a month of possibility
In another dimension
Just wine and dine
Forgetting the lesson
Counting your blessings
There's always a reason for every season.

Let's give thanks to Almighty God
Gratitude a gateway for more
God never seizes unconditional love
Always showering it on us endlessly
Remember September is Virgo
kind, gentle, supportive and resourcefulness.

I pray you all have a great and blessed September!!!

Premium MemberGiving Thanks

In those long nights of doubt
when all is dark
and the soul is far from home,
who is it
that seizes the tongue
and speaks in rhythmic sound,
grants the miraculous moment
when it seems all that it asks
is for you to listen
and write the words down,
then humbly offer thanks
for the gift it has given to you.
