I Am The Blueprint of My Own Quiet Ruin

The door swells in its frame each winter,
paint curling like old tongues —
still you press it open with a finger,
leaving soft dents in the wood.

Inside, the walls hum from hidden wires;
plaster sighs under your barefoot weight.
Every step — a loosened nail,
a whisper of dust sliding down beams.

The windows breathe in drafts,
their single panes shivering;
no storm need rage —
your shadow is enough to rattle them.

In the hallway, wallpaper blisters;
your sleeve grazes it,
and flakes of me snow to the floor.

The ceiling, swollen with damp,
droops lower each night you sleep here —
timbers ache above your breathing.

Downstairs, the kitchen faucet drips
like a clock without courage;
your laugh sends the pipes ringing,
and the cupboards cough up ghosts.

Upstairs, in the attic, silence nests —
you climb no ladder,
yet I feel your warmth seep into rafters
where rot waits, patient.

When you close the door behind you,
its frame leans inward, yearning.
The house is always colder after.

Failure

I’m a failure.
I’ll always be one.
I make everyone around me,
disappointed,
sad,
angry,
anxious.
It never stops.
I can’t be a good daughter,
a good granddaughter,
a good friend,
or a good girlfriend,
or even a good person.
I’ll never be able to change,
no matter how hard I try.
I hate it.
I hate everything.
I hate myself.
I’m a failure.

Tumhare Baare Me

Tumhare baare mein har baat jaanne ka junoon sa tha,
Aaj tumhari bohot aadate meri aadaton ka hissa hai jisme ek sukoon sa hai.
Achha batao na, ab bhi kuch janana baaki hai kya?
Ya phir jo jaana hai, bas itna hi kaafi hai kya?
Suno na, kuch kehna tha... chhodo, rehne do,
Tum to ho hi ziddi, chalo fir bataata hoon ||

Har ek baatein tumhari har pal apnapan sa laati hain,
Jaise pichle janmon ke kuch khaas rishton ki yaadein jagati hain.
Cuteness ka jaadu to hai hi tum me, par pata hai alag kya hai wo hai thodi sanjeedgi ke saath,
Ab agar ye tulna kia jaye to ye aise hai jaise chaand ki alta aur suraj ki baat ||

Apne kaam se jo lagan tum dikhati ho,
Pata hai tum hai na zindagi ko apni tariko aur saleekho ke sath sajati ho.
Chhoti se chhoti baat bhi yaad rakh leti ho,
Achha sach sach batana kya tum use dil ke panne par likhti ho.
Last aur ek bat batata hu jis tarah tumhara andaaz sabse juda hai,
Tumhari baatein bhi khud mein hi khuda hai ||

Home

Take yourself home,
It has been a long night,
He said you were out of his comfort zone,
A topic for another fight,
No texts, no calls on the phone,
You still await, for a flashing car light,
Don't you see girl, you are standing here alone,
Under the only flickering street light,
Your heart on the floor, disowned
A cry in your throat just died,
Watching him dancing and kissing
amidst those bodies,
Such a
heartbreaking
sight...

Endorphins

Starting to think that love isn’t real
Something we say, not something we feel
Frivolous rhymes soften the blow.

A ruse evoked by the brain,
Chemical explosions alter and addict.
Life forces fuse like hot metal,
But cool so fast they become brittle
Tolerance builds, chemicals fade, and the war begins
Perpetual battles for small doses, proving our love true

For some, the doses are enough
Anniversaries with digits next to decades
Others see error in choice, but crave the full effect.

Why do my chemicals always remain?
Maybe my brain is broken like it is with booze.
The cryptic off-switch eludes my fragile heart
Maybe love is real, and it only exists in the broken.

I know what you must think. What if it’s you?
Does toxicity spew from my pours?
Am I the retardant for chemicals adored?
The answers compete with love’s lack of existence.

So now I dwell in my new home,
Between rocks and hard places,
Grasping hope with sad faces

Once Upon A You

Lost in the shambles of a broken stream
Emotions failing and affections locked-in
Just in the nick of giving up
You swirled in and played the cop

It was all good at first feelings glowed
It got all bad as false feelings showed
Just like a switch married to the wall
You turned me on then turned me off

You made me believe, love can be selfless.
You made me believe, love can be selfish.
You made me believe, love can be real pure.
You made me believe, love can be so dark.

Once, your smile beams on me with luck
Once, your voice rendered my heart unlocked
Once, your giggles expel everywhere my sadness lurks
Once, there was light now darkness lurks

Though I be concerned with what you feel
What you really want is not even real
Once upon a time there was a you
Once upon a time, I'm glad I got to love you

Confession

Little guy I love you ,
It is hard to believe , I know .
That we dance to the Rhythm of this dejavú.
When I saw you again you made my soul glow .

Little guy , I need you ,
I need you more than your mom , more than your sis .
Like a sun needs a shadow to prove that it’s true.
Like the moon needs the stars to reflect lovers bliss .

Little boy they don’t like us together ,
because my mind is rough,
because I set yours as light as a feather .
Because a woman in love is not allowed to be though .

Little boy I don’t care about the opinion of others ,
You are essential to my life .
To hell with all mothers ,
I welcome all cuts if they come from love’s knife .

Because My Heart Desires

My whole life, I felt like something was missing, like my heart's desire was only half full. But, I was okay.

Then one day,
 because you liked me,
because you wanted me, because you took me out on dates,
because you made love to me,
because you needed me and I needed you too, all that changed.

For the 1st time, my heart's desire was filling up, and it was finally full. Nothing was missing.

But, then one day,
because you still loved your ex,
because you went back to her when she needed you,
because I couldn't go back to feeling like something was missing,
because I didnt know how to let go, and
because now, you even have a new girlfriend.

In hindsight, I let my heart's desire make me unloveable, and even though I'm not okay right now, I will be,
  Because My Heart Desires.

We Won't Notice

The amazing things
We love could hit us right back
And we won't notice...

Breakup

I think of another
Let my heart surrender
With pleasure under
To give and render
The lost me to the other
Which is not my wonder.
She professes to be tender
But she's not like a mother
'Cause she desires us to be over
Denying me to be her lifeblood lover.
I am now resolute to turn a blind eye to her
Even though she is brighter,
But I can trade her for the better
To forbear my life from the deceitful breaker

An April Fool

today I can write sad verses,
that you are no longer inside me, and that the night is long and the darkness hurts,
I can write how I wanted you, and how you slowly disappear in me,
I can write about the rough sea,
and for the lighthouse that shines dimly,
I can write that I never loved you
and that your absence is not a rock that breaks the heart,
from where the souls that flow love's blood are thrown,
I can also write about the fact that you just weren't mine,
and you will never be
but it would just be an April fool,
and I, a fool who never believed that I loved you.
but today I will write only a few verses,
the real ones, the one that I loved and still love you
I can write, that you being happy, is my greatest happiness,
Regarless spring with the flower blooming, brought too the great winter between us. This is how much I respect you.

Yet She Said She Was Mine

Yet she said she was mine
Nights of silence, what's wrong?
And she always said it was fine

Lost in her thoughts when she dines
Lots of phone calls and a new love song
Yet she said she was mine

Motivations given, hold the line
Fight for us, you are strong
And she always said it was fine

Lately she has been drinking wine
Drunk and out all night long
Yet she said she was mine

It was clear, she showed the signs
They were everywhere but covered in the fog
And she always said it was fine

Today she broke my heart, crushed my spine
She simply went, she said she didn't belong
Yet she said she was mine
And she always said it was fine

Was It Fate

If you saw me first, would we have ended up the same?
Would you have come over to me and asked for my name?

Sometimes I wonder if you would've chosen me on your own.
Or would that day come and go, and we both leave alone?

Was it fate that brought us together, or was it my determination?
Maybe it was just blind luck and the right situation.

I need to feel like you're with me because, in your heart, I'm the only one.
Not that you picked me, but I could be anyone.

Farewell Blackbird

She will always hold a special place
She may not want me
She wants to be free
She will always be the one that got away
The timing wasn't right
She flew away to Tennessee to escape the emptiness
If you love someone set them free
If they return, it was meant to be
This is the final farewell
With a tear in my eye
Fly high Blackbird!

Anger

anger in your eyes
crimson are your lips
ivory is your skin
sweet is your sin
smooth are your hips
Bitter bitter are your lies
