Inspired by some great country hits that were just this simple, just this ardent. Wish I could do justice to a lyric as many of them did.

Sittin’ over a beer, But all I taste is my tears; My life is just a sad country song. Met the girl of my dreams, But every day it seemed That somethin’…. Somethin’ was all wrong. She said her love was true She just didn’t say to who. Come to find out, She’d been stringin’ me along. So, I’m drunk and feelin’ mighty blue, Just wonderin’ what to do. Bartender says, “Be a man. Be strong.” But what's he know? Guess I’ll pay my tab and go. It’s time I be movin’ along. Someday, I’ll find a real nice girl Who’ll give a guy like me a whirl, One who will never treat me wrong. But until the day I do, I’m all alone and blue. Yes, she said her love was true. She just didn’t say to who. Now my life is just a sad country song.

Great Lyrics. I am sure some C&W artist could put it to music. Best, SuZ

This is so damn sweet. Do you have a tune? Do you play guitar? Why don't you send this to some up & coming singer? Very country, for sure.
