Reusable Poems

July 4th

Reusable coffee cup with a metal straw
My small pathetic efforts
Are covered by filth
As fumes of rich suited bastards
cover our longings in excrement
Snatch the medicaid from your dying Grandmother's mangled hand
To fill another yacht
With fake breasts and Botox filled martini glasses
The masses are happy it's July 4th
But I can only hope for change
As Our rights are taken away
Our only crime was being born
Without a silver spoon to pave the way

little things

 today
 lets use lots of words
 to say little things

we can lay four-word sentences
beneath paragraphs
and put exclamation points
in places normally reserved for commas

we can say ‘tuesday’
several times
and call dandelions beautiful

we can wonder why ‘morose’
is not a color
and accentuate the wrong part
of three-syllable words

lets use lots of words
to say little things
today

tomorrow will be here soon enough
and words are reusable

‘tuesday’...

dandelions are beautiful
on tuesday

canvas

I made some mistakes, let my head get straight to jealousy
One thing I could never get over was that instinctive tendency

I was the easel to your painting, the necessity but not necessarily
You leaned against my support, just to fold me up and discard, victim of your dissection

Strokes fulfilling your streaks of confidence, unfinished to perfection
The easel of your time until my predecease
Paintings can’t revert
Easels are reusable
I’ll support a new masterpiece

The nails and screws holding me together are withering
Unable to decide between beauty and grace, cyclically dithering
I don’t want to make the same mistakes
Gambling my love for you in sweepstakes

The subject of ourselves;
We choose, perceive,
laugh, and grieve.
What are we
in this boundless and expanding cosmic web?

We, human beings
do the curiosity of all experiments.
Made up the same subatomic particles
as are exchanged
between flowers in the gardens and black holes in the galaxies.

Within the immense ocean of stars,
the images of the Dark Energy live within us.
When supernova collide! A glimpse of Milky Way’s fate zooms in, 230 million light
years away from earth.
With limited means
our ignorance,
the discovery of the multiverse living beyond us.

Big bang or
the fabric of time, Dust Ring discovered in Mercury’s orbit.
In Quantum awareness of singularity
       we can always be wrong.

Scientists smashing atoms
Searching never-before-seen a shadow of Event Horizon
Building reusable rockets colonizing Mars
Bending the speed of light
......Desperately seeking the horoscope of human race

“I” and the neutrons in our brains
are the same thing;
        complex, tightly integrated
        and lovable.

The brutal truth
Is - no certainty
We exist.

Premium MemberThe Coral Reefs Are Dying

Take a stand and save the world
Recycle that plastic bottle
Help clean up the ocean
And join in the battle
Reduce your use of single use
Commit to end the waste
Reduce the ocean garbage patch
Deliberately make haste
The coral reefs are dying
All around the world
In twenty years they might be gone
If we remain unconcerned
So take a stand and pick it up
Buy yourself a reusable cup

Willie Wonka can no more hire any of us
Down he has gone with a bad case of the virus.
And we fear his magical factory will close
If we fail to take over the lease,I suppose
At this difficult crisis Covid -ridden time
Not to take over would be a serious crime
But what will you decide to make ?Somebody asks
What else but gazillions of reusable masks
Coloured with hopeful rainbows and marked NHS
That's just what is essentially needed ,I guess
With every welcome covering for a face
You would enter a draw for a trip into space
That would more than lift you both body and spirit
And would give you physical distancing with it

What Are They Teaching Kids With This

Protesting protest
that’s what this be
Look and take notice
at the stupidity

On a Record breaking day
Seeing fossil fuels fade away
as reusable power the majority
we see a drop in generated bad air in society
Active steps successfully reducing pollution
Yet schools are teaching by allowing kids to protest a solution

A protest is to force change
Change is happening
these protests deranged
What’s happening?
Teaching kids this is wrong
it’s not on, what’s going on?

The 5th time schools and university protest
as what they protest is addressed
still they don’t notice, now I'm stressed.

This is what we teach kids is it,
Bloody hopeless!!!

Premium MemberThe Piddle Pad

It has become necessary to use piddle pads in the back room
So I am not interrupted at night and try to make sleep resume
My neighborhood has gotten run down and people can be bad
If I had a doggie door vermin and thieves would take all I had

My dogs are getting older and harder to teach
It seems the piddle pad is always out of reach
Kublia proudly stands on it, just his front part
His bottom half on the bare floor missing the mark

A sea of pee puddles that the clean pad does not absorb
I spent my money on the piddle pad so I could mop no more
Genghis sniffs the pad and then runs to the wall by the open door
He lifts his hind leg and smiles as he pees on the mopboard

So I clean the floor and give the clean piddle pads away
And bought giant reusable piddle pads on the same day
The big pads overlap the mopboard and covers the floor of the room
Now my doggies use them right, and I use less of the mop and broom

Is There Life On Mars

Elon Musk has launched
An electric car into space
With David Bowie on the radio
And an astral traveller at the wheel
In spacesuit and dark visor across the face

Reusable rockets return to earth
And the car to Mars as a stunt
On Earth we are left with the wonder
Of this feat for space exploration
And the next thrill of it all!

Earth's Hour

Quiet is the earth this dark hour
And in the silence I share its power
When all the fossil fuel fumes retire
The grid is broken perhaps again
And cars stay home from storm and rain
The stars come out my love to inspire
Earth breaths again a primal hour
And in the moonlight I caress a flower
And at the pond below my feet, I
Hear a frog's happy retreat, while men
Beyond earth's hour lame and broken die
Where nature constricts to soupy glen
Laden with all our trash and debris of pain
They may not see the moon rise again

thanks Chris D. Aechtner for the note idea (^_^)

Please make it a point to always bring reusable bags with you,
to minimize the use of plastic bags. When the planet dies we die with it, eternal life begins with responsible love.

Yellow

It’s how I learned to laugh at the moonlight, and reuse reusable things
Save electricity, and like the color yellow.

She’s the woman behind the pearl clip-on earring,
And white cake with butter cream frosting

I know why I love cold days and rainy nights,
When her smirk of needlessness to go out wades sitcoms in.

All the potpourri flowers can’t last to her fragrance,
Crimson satin drawer pillows and apple peels, perfect ripe ribbons,
Roses, and dove soap,
Fried egg sandwiches on crumb-free bread.

Grass on her lawn holds no candle to green,
Compare to her field of long-stem billowing tulips
Her great beauty, her yellow buds of glory.

Who Am I?

Who am I?
Who are you?
Who are they?
I wish I knew.
We all feel pain
even though wounds
are technically inexcusable.
We patch up scars and make
them functional and reusable.
Oh the blood underneath these veins,
the flesh antagonizes me for days.
I'd poke it with something sharp
if I weren't so vain.
Plus looking at the imprints
it would cause would drive me insane.
There could be a cloudless sky
but still it may rain
Never judge a book
maybe until you turn the page
I wish I had something, someone
or just maybe a it.
Pain is excruciating but It's mass
produced like McDonald's so I'm used to it
It's the repetitive nature of it all that
makes people loose a tooth or two
they can't pick, swallow or chew the truth
so they bottle it up and chug it like a fresh cold root
I take it in and blow it out like a flute
such beauty can come from ugly things
that's why so many beautiful girls
let their boy friends call them ugly names
I spin in a circle and when I return it's all the same
Who am I? Who is she? who are we?
