Earth's Hour
Quiet is the earth this dark hour
And in the silence I share its power
When all the fossil fuel fumes retire
The grid is broken perhaps again
And cars stay home from storm and rain
The stars come out my love to inspire
Earth breaths again a primal hour
And in the moonlight I caress a flower
And at the pond below my feet, I
Hear a frog's happy retreat, while men
Beyond earth's hour lame and broken die
Where nature constricts to soupy glen
Laden with all our trash and debris of pain
They may not see the moon rise again
thanks Chris D. Aechtner for the note idea (^_^)
Please make it a point to always bring reusable bags with you,
to minimize the use of plastic bags. When the planet dies we die with it, eternal life begins with responsible love.
