Andrea, there is a "down" side to the use of "reusable" shopping bags. Love the sentiments in this one though....points out the simple things we plan on doing but fail to follow through on in the business of the day. Congrats on the win

Am supposing kind of ironic really Andrea, as here we use reusable shopping bags and yet the packaging amassed from the contained stuff is awash. Time companies thought minimalism especially as we pay more for this unwanted packaging, guess it's a way of tricking the brain into thinking we are getting better value for Am assuming most countries are similar of course. Great write, makes us ponder. Thanks for noticing my new writes, yes, is good to be back and to hear from you of course!

Another good poem that flows well and carries a message within the lines. Emile.

Andrea I also use reusable bags , here in Canada most stores charge for bags, your poem captures the concept of recycling 7 and thanks for visiting my senryu

I find irony in the fact government asks people to recycle as the ships at sea dump their trash to the ocean floor

hahaha. It's just what it is, Connie. I am not someone who is helping my environment even though I have the reusable bag in my car trunk to do it with.

I'm trying hard to be better about taking my own shopping bags with me everywhere, but get so mad at myself, when I leave them in the car, and only remember after I'm at the check out !! Shame on me! (ps.....sorry you are also having PS..issues!! And now they are on vacation !! Me too....different issues, but still aggravating !!

a 7 I hope your trunk doesn't get stinky. I use to live in a small little town that we had to take our garbage to the dump. The dump consisted of a guard 4 big train carts that you dumped your garbage. But then they had sectioned off for vegetation and wood, a building for newspapers, oil drums for hazardous waste, plastic containers, and one for unwanted furniture It was easy. Hugs Eve
