As I read your words I reflected upon the raising of my stepchildren. We definitely spent a king's ransom both in money and time. Everything seemed forced at the time...like you I ponder, was any of it worth it in the end. Sigh

Such honest reflection, Gershon—this hits deep. The rhyme adds a light rhythm, but the questions linger heavy. A powerful, poignant piece on the cost of life’s choices.

I sure am it was BB when you look at your girls and your grandkids and see who they have become and the joy they bring you! Children cost a lot that is for sure but we find the $$ and do the best we can…..then grow old and die haha!! Great poem!! Debx

Meaningful poetry, Gershon. I have one son and 2 daughters ... 3 of each counting the stepsons and stepdaughters. It is enlightening to look back on the facade of who we've been to earn them dollars. Have a pleasant week, my friend. Bill

Three girls -wow! That does seem like there might be some expenses involved.
