"Sometimes there are No feelings, just words that talk very loud." By Poet

Come let me tell you a story,
about a want to be writer.
A young girl's notebook filled,
filled with her writings.
How a teacher put her and her writings down,
letting the class laugh at her work.
She knew she had something to say,
even if they did not believe in her.
She believed in herself,
even when the world was in doubt.
She used ink as her paints for painting,
on her canvas called paper.
She learned about rhymes and limericks,
along with verse, acrostic and more.
So many styles to choose from,
what was a girl to do?
Just write more for her readers,
telling stories in her poems.
She loved how her magical words,
seemed to go dancing across the paper.
When she found PoetrySoup,
she felt like she had come home.
Other writers to help her learn,
even correcting her from time to time.
Comments to inspire her,
bringing out her creativity and imagination.
A true writer writes from their heart,
never letting anyone stop them.

Premium Member The Pensive Poet

By Poet "Oh yes, 100% human here. No AI for me."

Come let me tell you a story,
how writers once wrote.
They wrote from their loving hearts,
telling stories in different styles.
Some were rhymes or funny limericks,
verse was a favorite along with a tanka.
I find acrostic to be fun,
but taking more thought and time.
Today this new thing called AI,
is the new kid on the block.
AI has no loving heart to write with,
yet many readers have been blinded.
I put much thought and reflection,
into each poem for my readers.
A true writer writes because they love to,
also writing for their many readers.

Premium Member Sales Pitch For My New Book

Good morning bookstore owner,
here my new book is a loaner.
It is a must read,
it will turn your young readers head.
It is about silly yellow ducks not red,
shaking their feathers and counting ahead.
The kids will love this fun book,
fill your shelf so they can take a look.

Premium Member Don't overlook the final touches

You pour your heart out in a poem
bursting with emotion and sincerity,
then share it with the world to see.

You rush delivery ignoring any typos.
Your readers may not be too understanding
that you did not care to make an effort.

Readers honour you with their time
when they read the lines you've written,
the least you could do is make it worth their while.

If you don't think highly enough of your poetry
to warrant scrutiny and revision,
you'll find many will not take you seriously.

Not only will you be overlooked...
but you may just come off as the amateur
in competition with a fifth grader

To my beloved readers

To my beloved readers
I see myself as a painter,
My words serve as my paint,
My thumbs are my brush,
And my canvas,
is your mind,
my beloved readers.

With every poem I write, I hope to paint in your mind
What I see,
How I feel,
And who I am as a person.
Every time I write,
It’s a self portrait in word form
Every emotion,
Every word,
Comes from my heart,
In hopes that you,
My beloved readers,
Can see who I truly am
I want to thank you,
For taking this time to allow me to paint in your mind,
I appreciate your support,
and I hope you will all continue to be,
My beloved readers.

Writers And Readers

When I write, it makes me happy, when I write, I am free,
as I could sit right down, and write all day you see.
Words aren’t easy, neither are they cheap,
for some words, our hearts decide to keep.
Good words, and bad words, written on a page,
sometimes filled with love, sometimes fueled by rage.
A writer knows, just the right words to use, you see,
as he uses his most sacred words, as a key.
Unlocking a new story for the world to read,
with his chosen words, hunger hearts he feeds.
It’s his words that tell a story, of time’s untold,
as he sits and writes, his story does unfold.
The writing, may not be his best,
as he sends his story out, to be put to the test.
For it’s the readers, they write for you see,
without the reader’s, where would the writers be?
Without the writers, what would a reader read,
seeds planted by the writer,
harvested by the readers need.

Premium Member Pen Something To Quill Of Defiance

"The pen must go where the pen wants to go." By Poet

Who is the poet?
They are dreamers about words and life,
making both come to life for their readers.
A true poet's quill,
writes from their loving and creative heart.
Did you know, August 18,
Is National "Bad" Poetry Day?
One day of the year all writers,
have a chance to make a change with their words.
Can we remember a rhyme is to rhyme?
not kind of or sort of rhyme.
A Limerick is five lines of funny,
not sad or depressing words.
Many have told me,
less words can be more meaningful.
I am stopping here,
and having a fun day writing away with my quill.

God Bless The Readers

I don’t wish
to be studied
just
to be read

Where daydreams
long scripted
danced round
in my head

With words
humbly gifted
each phrase
probate free

To those
in whose honor
my best
— I bequeath

Premium Member Books And Readers Are Beautiful

I find in today's world,
books and readers are missing.
Where have the readers gone?
Why are books so unattractive?
Could it be the style of writing or even their covers?
Years ago many would share their books with friends,
telling them the book was a must read.
Does the book hold the reader,
or does the reader hold the book?
The style of book needs to entice the reader to read,
starting with a catchy and colorful cover.
Yes, the beauty of any book,
is in the reader's eye to behold and enjoy reading.

To My Dear Readers,

Another year is ending with a bright new "2025" beginning.

I want to give you a huge "Thank You" for your support.
This means the world to me.
It has been fun reading your Wonderful comments over the many months.

May you enjoy your Holiday Season.
Remember, Jesus is the Reason for Christmas.
Gifts are always nice to give and get.
Giving yourself and time can mean much more.

Premium Member Not All Readers

The author’s imagination floats out of a book
Some readers are able to tether a bit of it
Maybe a word or a phrase
Others cannot adapt, not understanding

Flexible readers embellish the story
Adding flares and sparkles as they read
Intelligent readers visualize a bit more
The uninterested cannot concentrate at all.

I can be a good reader or a bad reader.
I am the best reader when the author is a master.
A word player who puts me into a new world.
Please intrigue, amuse, delight and excite me.

To My Ignored Admiring Readers

It hurts to note one's congrat has been ignored.
He later wakes up, who has long snored.
Fresh call for fresh congrat fingers are bored;
The pain from previous neglect had hit cord!

My Apology: Admiring Reader.
Don't quit your labour of being my feeder,
I love you only less than my late mum,
Last child still dealing with the toughest gum

And guess: Your guy is ever The Restless:
Gemini! To whom long rest is tasteless
For every hour, it's been Blue Biro;
Getting to a year I last used mirror.

Yep! All the days hardly I see myself:
Ten weeks now I last cleaned dusty shelf;
Much of a busy man, health not a help
And, trust me, staff delayed pay means a yelp.
