Pressure has us thinking
Why is our vessel sinking?
Is it an inevitable season?
Is it someone’s treason?
Is it some failed alchemy?
Is it our collective blasphemy?
For we cannot normalize malady
These aches and pains need remedy
Either new minds or new thoughts
Before we approach the casting of lots
For a few have raided the many
Shrinking the worth of the penny
As we all suffer the same
One with no shame
Dares us with the old game
Of fanning that divisive flame
“They resent your reigning kin”
And other gimmicks often seen
Look at your child
Before you are beguiled
Weigh and feel your frame
Before their power and fame
Clouds you with its imposing presence
While edging out your own essence
Take back the trust you put in men
Let there be no other day when
God shall be edged out by a mere mortal
But we shall wholly and in total
Be given to Him in all our ways
And that shall be our only ace

a sparrow with a towel
dried the feathers of an owl
while a wren with a felt-tipped pen
coloured in a sleeping hen
then a magpie poked the eye
of a buzzard and made him cry
when a rook with an adventure book
started reading to an eager duck
and a siskin sat next to a finch
as a hungry eagle raided the fridge
all were trying their very best
to fit inside the tiny nest
My Luna
The moon
Was full the night I said goodbye
I saw the spirit fade
From your pained eyes
I saw the breaths stop and felt your heavy head
I'll miss your bulk
Upon my bed
Your fur
On every surface
Your greed
Your paws that opened the fridge
And found the cheese and I could throw any food onto the floor
And you'd hoover it up
I miss the raided bin
Evidenced by tins and licked packets
The way you barked when someone dared to pass the window in the night
Your beautiful face
Your love of life
You running through the stubble
Or chasing squirrels
I hope you'll stay with me
In spirit
I think of you every second
Your mischief mirrored my own
My friend
I love you
Rest in peace sweet girl
Luna
Forever

The squirrels gathered 'neath November’s gold glow,
with tails curled proud sitting in a row.
They piled acorns high—no plate left bare,
a feast in the oaks, with none to spare.
The eldest stood, whiskers twitching sage,
(His napkin a leaf from a bygone age):
"To the humans," he chirped, "though flawed, they try~
their cornucopias tempt us… but we prefer pecan pie."
A chorus of chitters! A toast with dew,
as they cracked hickory nuts and passed the acorn stew.
No turkey for them—just stolen seeds,
and gratitude for the backyard greed.
For what is Thanksgiving, but harvest delights
and fences scaled on frostbit nights?
They dined, they danced, till the moon hung low…
then raided some trash cans. As squirrels often do.
"For every soul that finds her shores,
their breath is surely stolen" - quote by poet
I am smaller than my siblings
My brothers and sisters casting their grand shadows
I’m often more ice than water
Surrounded by land that makes me warmer
I am the peoples friend despite
The bleak conditions here from which most shy away
I’m hostile to a casual life
You have to be committed to my cause
My frozen future uncertain
Will climate change bring others to my shores?
They share my spoils, the drill of oils
Their greed, it chokes the life from deep within my womb
My bed is claimed by many hands
They squabble over treasures like pirates
Not all of me has been exposed
My secrets untapped but closets may be raided
Help me, save me from this future
Where I may be boiled, dry and arid drought
I urge you think again my friends
Change your global ways or I face the end of days
A star once floated from East to West
He now punishes those who abuse their power
Snarling under his hook of a nose
The fire orange sun beats down on his blood red goblin face.
His bark is a thunder bolt
Honor is his name and he will cease at nothing to preserve it
From the Heian to Tokugawa, through the surrender of ‘45
From countless Seppukus to the Yasukuni Shrine
He flew through the night which followed Abe’s killing
He watched with disdain when the troops raided Nanjing
“Call me ugly as you wish, but you are the true pigs of the sky,” he said
“With your bombs and swords you have given me endless work”
The flying dog is here to stay, and to judge all who make evil
His face will float above forests and decorate museums
Do not be the reason why the red goblin glows
Do not let this mighty flying dog make an example of your money hungry soul
He will haunt you like no other as he has for centuries
Bow to your masters, and maintain your dignity
Or whatever is left will be ripped and turned into dust
By the flying dog who they call “Tengu”
cold was the night and a runaway girl
lay in the snow . . . soon a man found her
he took her to a brothel- cleaned her up with a bath
gave her drugs until all she did was sleep
the police raided and found the girl dead_
someones child is buried in an unmarked grave
Raccoons are in the ceiling having a whale of a time
They raided the kitchen and stole molasses and thyme
We cannot get up there, it is an enormous climb
If they were glitzy-loving crows, we could coax them down with a dime.
Stand up,
Won’t lay down 'til I stack up.
Fed up with the brokenness
A liq just gonna tease me
Focus,
Pull up in a Lotus.
Fly on essential,
Throw up like bulimic
With you she a padlock,
With me she a secret.
Convenient,
Don’t take life too serious.
Articulate,
Went and took one
She missed on her period.
For my dogs, I’m ruthless,
Like John Wick, I leave you toothless.
Perseverance in the darkness,
Soon as the lights turn on
You ain't flawless.
Stock market lookin' exotic,
Potential in motion, perpetual.
In her walls like a schedule,
Might see you later
If this sh*t don’t get raided.
I'm faded.
Infiltrated is what I rate it
the taking of our government raided
The voice of the President,
"It's gold plated."
Yet the relief of a nation
Is being impatiently waited
Jannes and Jabrese the officials they sent
Without anyone knowing what they represent
The ceasure of records, control
and the moneys being spent
All the good causes good government would grant
The poor and the widow are under attack
But I know one thing that they lack
The Moses of today will fight with the facts
And an army will drown at the seas collaps
It won't be long, this vicious attack
Those who are out numbered
will be trapped like rats
And justice will be bragging "I'm back, I'm back!"
I am not sure where to go first
I have not taken much
just what I could fit into two backpacks
One of them gets heavy
I sit down on a park bench and sort them out
throwing away ten things I thought I needed
because this is day three
and I am tired of carrying two backpacks
I have not asked anyone for help
because I do not know how to do that
and it would feel awful
so far I have just raided dumpsters at night
after regular people are asleep
I become active
searching for half eaten sandwiches
hoping the bugs have not gotten in them yet
The sun has set; light has faded
Darkness soon, will earth be raided,
Birds have flown to their nest
While silver turns the mountain crest.
Waves that were roaring high the tide
Seems louder now, at every ride.
Eyelids heavy with day of sleep
As angels now their vigils keep.
Mortals sleep into another sunlight
Dreaming under sky’s faint moonlight.
Sleep is crawling into a world unknown
Beyond life’s pathways where we’ve grown.
Whisper of wind has silenced life
For the while, from all pain and strife.
Slumber falls while angels wake
To see us through till new dawn breaks.

A poor little girl's gone missing,
Where's the knight to rescue her,
There he is and he's insisting,
He will find poor little Blair.
First he found a treacherous lake,
Full of sirens so alluring,
Slaying them was a piece of cake,
And the bloody screams reassuring.
After sweet song came a homely village,
Full of helpful denizens aplenty,
They'd seen no girl so the knight did pillage,
Taking all til the town was empty.
With plunder from the raided village,
Was he ready to face the dragons visage,
The third hurde to be overcome,
Was real difficult, how irksome.
The dragon was immortal but slain,
Incapacitated for a bit, killed in vain.
To the girl the knight ran,
Justifying all that he had done.
The girl turned and her face was gone,
She'd no mouth with which to sing a song,
Her limbs were thin as twigs,
Her starved body as heavy as bricks.
The fire in her eyes was gone as well,
With no strength left to quell.
She was too far gone he said,
About her they didnt have to worry,
Off and rolling went her head,
The killing was a mercy.
Words
I came by a couple of my forgotten friends today.
They are words,
Mowing and Scythe.
It’s about sixteen years!
How heartily we relished our time together!
Scythe accompanied me, resided in my right hand,
Together we raided sugarcane fields, edges of paddy fields, and distant green horizons.
We collected tokens of happiness.
Mowing joined us as we met tall tender grass.
We three feasted on sweat,
Tidied the severed grasses in a green girl’s move,
Like she combs and braids her silky seasoned hair.
We were to barter our gains
With some puny-powered coins.
Many wouldn’t take them for nothing.
But that “nothing” would reward our pains.
Such sweet-sour scorching moments have gone.
We have separated in our parts.
In our green-forsaken days,
We meet in words.
