There is a place, reserved for you and me,
put your best foot forward, if you wanna see.
Walk each day in the moment, as you go,
compassion, forgiveness and peace we must show.
We must have something, that the world does need,
we can’t give out, what others truly feed.
We can take a man to dinner, still can’t make him eat.
give a man a table, a place to put his feet.
Those words we give, are a seed unto the heart,
fill them with joy and love, peace, they will take part.
The world needs more understanding, forgiveness everywhere,
to do good things, is our cross to bare.
One by one, two by two, step by step you see,
there is a place, reserved, for you and me.

I put my foot in my mouth

Mother is ninety now, frail, and asleep much too often.
This may be her last year; she wants to go home and be with God,
but does not want to leave me. Go Mom, I'll be there by and by.
As you embark on the upcoming year,
Let it be filled with love and lots of cheer.
Put your best foot forward each new day
Living life to the full, is the only way.
Let love and kindness be your guide,
It will help you when tensions collide.
Seagulls cast aquarium swirls
Translucent panacea coats the day
Cloudy church ammonites lear
A child within a Man
has choices to make
he is hastened by the wind
Cold Waterfalls
with Autumn Wheat chaff
Put your best foot forward
Unwrap your plans
To touch the earth
and see the fathoms glow
Avert your glance
to the unsprung mile
Quitters never win,
And winners never quit.
If you just give up,
That's all you're gonna get.
If you want to be someone,
Get something out of life,
You must first put something in,
Or all you'll get is strife.
Life is like a bank account.
You get whate're you save.
You get what you put into it.
You get back what you gave.
Cast your bread upon the waters,
And after time has passed,
It comes back to you in waves,
The past does not stay passed.
Be willing to work for what you get.
Be willing to earn your keep.
Don't give up when things get tough.
Don't just lie down and weep.
Put your best foot forward.
Remember you're not alone.;
For God helps those who help themselves.
Just keep on keepin' on.
Opportunity is there
Just get at it
The world is in your hands
Work at boosting your spirit
Put your best foot forward
For the time is at hand
Continue to spread good cheer
That is the master plan

You had ten faces
“Ten?”
More than ten
A face for every occasion
But then
‘The best one’
Reserved
‘Reserved for whom?’
Not for you
Not for me
But
That narcissistic selfie
And then to wallow in
‘Likes’
Oh! Don’t be stupid
Not that so yesterday
‘I like you’
But this so modern
‘Everybody likes me’
‘Like’- that abstract feeling
Has suddenly become countable
But then
These likes
Come with a condition
‘You like me’
And then, in turn
‘I like you’
A perfect
‘Give and take’
For all those
On-line friends’ sake
Now amongst the race
For these likes
Where is the real you?
Suffocating beneath
The mound of ‘likes’
‘Phew’!
But why should it bother you
Your life
Dependent on your face
And your face
Dependent on others’ ‘likes’
So, please continue on
Put your best face forward
There’s nothing called ‘Real’
In this fictitious world
So, why should you alone be bothered?
Just maintain that course
Stay on that path in order to excel
Put your best foot forward
And continue to do well
Uplift and empower
Be that beacon of light in every way
Nothing but positive vibes
Rise and shine everyday
Energy is everything
Utilize it wisely
Moments are fleeting
By the change we see accordingly
Always put your best foot forward
As you embark on your journey
Take everything to heart
Go through the course efficiently
For every road that you face
There will be a level of difficulty
Take on the challenge
And embrace the opportunity
Let it build your inner strength
Be willing to take flight

Despite threats and frets along your rocky way

Worry not, tarry not, bend your knees to pray
With God on your side no way you can lose
Bigger picture paints rims and beams a hope ray.
Under no circumstances swim in booze
Clear head, dear hope hold mesmerizing moment
Ensconced in a seat of progress in your cruise.
Bat not your lid, cut not critical corners
As you surge forward to reap your reward
In consort with a bevy of trusted partners.
With God’s help and grace surge forward
No reason in your plan for a braggart bard.
Ensure each step moves you nigh Heaven’s bell
Play your part in moulding the future very well.

In order to be great
Put your best foot forward
And jump out of the gate
The journey is filled
With magic and adventure
Rise up through the air
And see the vision of nature
Focus on your books
And be a better student
Raise those grades
Just put your mind to it
Time is slowly drifting away
Move towards the right track
Put your best foot forward
That my friends is a fact
Go forward and conquer
Pursue excellence
Reach for new heights
Do your very best
Have it in you
To make your world shine
