Premium Member Pursuing Madness, Folly

Twice around the world he sped
       pursuing madness, folly
   Unrequited lover he
       denied, his desperate volley

   Once ignited, passions roused
       flames obey no limits
    Wildfires scorch the tender earth
       unbridled desire's afterbirth

Pursuing and Letting Go

I run after a shadow,
not quite mine,
but one I want to be.

Perfect in my eyes,
not so perfect in others’.

Trying to change
because of judgment
you’d never expect.

In fact, it is true
people whisper and hate.

But years will pass,
and they will learn
their own flaws
are just as clear.

We all chase shadows,
sometimes close enough,
but some dreams
aren’t meant to catch
and that’s how we grow.

One day,
realization hits
and you finally see
how perfect you are.

Judgment comes and goes,
but you live once,
so ignore the flaws
others create,

So, become the better version
only you can be.

Never Stop Pursuing Your Dreams

Healthy dreams begin consciously
With an awaken body and a calm mind
Make sure you rest enough
Maintain a diet and guard on sweets
Reduce stress thoughout the day
Influence yourself to good vibes
Enjoy moment that adds happy spice
Join associate that benefit to a good wallet
Check your goals if one already arrive
Never stop in pursuing your dreams.

The Pursuing Force Of The World

Love is prone to be
A person's weakness
It can also be
The strongest armor
Love is the very thing
Best worth trying
And pursuing without
Hesitation in the world.

Premium Member Still Paying

I seized the moment,
sure I’d repay it in kind.
What’s a hint of regret
for what I thought I needed to burn?

Now the burden grows,
sleepless nights interest is accruing.
The cost never diminishes,
but the memory of the flame is a vapor,
and yet, I still pay.

Premium Member joyfully pursuing nothing today

joyfully pursuing nothing today
no plan
no schedule
no worries
no cares

my car sits forlornly
she misses me
I do not care
this retirement gig is delightful

I can sit in one spot for days
and I do
until Dr. G begins talking about blood clots
that go to your heart and kill you
when you sit for too many hours

I walk up the hill one time
hoping that is enough
because I want to sit in a recliner
and watch TV, paint or write poems
joyfully pursuing nothing today

Premium Member Soul River

Lemmings run in tunnels deep,
The obsessed won't let the phantoms sleep,
But I can't stampede with brainwashed sheep,
I plunged into the soul river.

Leaving the crowd was hard to do
My heart, deceived, believed it knew,
But I left the comfort zone, joined the few.
And plunged into the soul river.

I entered the heart of the silent night,
Where the moon whispered soft and bright,
A path of dreams, it just felt right,
Between the cliffs of the soul river.

Beneath the sky of endless stars,
I put on hold the wounds and scars,
The current took me, ventured far,
I drifted with the soul river.

[chorus]
Soul river, carry me,
To the place where I am free,
Free to think and disagree.
Free to pursue life's mystery.

Then morning came with golden hue,
Each dream left its subconscious clue,
My heart learned from the journey true,
Guided by the soul river.

Mountains reflect in serene clear lakes
Though my friends don't learn from their mistakes,
I will not be with them, for time rushes by
I'd rather feel bad with truth, then good with a lie.

A Sonnet in
      ~ Iambic Tetrameter ~

At age eighteen he fled his home
Could barely wait, despised his town
To see the world all on his own
He'd wear a smile, no more to frown

He traveled in a makeshift way
Hitched rides in vans and sneaked on trains
When desperate, he stowed away
At times got drenched by gusts of rain

Two years he spent pursuing dreams
Grew wiser as the time crawled by
Found out that life's nor peach nor cream
For home and hearth, began to sigh...

Came back and knocked on his front door
Discovered that 'twas 'home' no more

Pursuing Sophia

People like you don’t come around too often
Together we would be the envy of all
Easy to leave fairytale and fantasy in movie
Waste time not and live the damn thing
Foolish are those to make me regret a thing
Conventional notions on life they bring
They don’t hear the music I continue to sing
Life changing it is when you burn the white flag
What appears to happen is continuity of acquiring the bag
