Pursuing Madness, Folly

Twice around the world he sped
       pursuing madness, folly
   Unrequited lover he
       denied, his desperate volley

   Once ignited, passions roused
       flames obey no limits
    Wildfires scorch the tender earth
       unbridled desire's afterbirth

Hey Gershon, when intense feeling meets the wall of rejection, the mind doesn't always quiet down, frequently, it accelerates. The frantic chase itself becomes an exhausting substitute for the connection they cannot reach. Powerful and striking work, Gershon. Blessings, Daniel
