Created for us with such velocity
A stage for life with such grandiosity
The stars, the planets, the moons God hurled
As all of creation he unfurled
And the grandest thing formed by God’s hand
His final creation was that of man
Vegetation, animals, and birds of the air
And then from man he formed woman so fair
He knew every aspect of his plan
We received intellect so we could understand
That he was our God and he’d always care
Wherever we went he’d always be there
He then gave man our free will and free choice
So each could have their own unique voice
Their own path to travel their own song to sing
Put in man's terms to do our own thing
So, lift up all voices and give to him praise
His son died for us then he did raise
All of his plans one day we will see
Our stairway to his presence for all eternity
She feels like standing in a room full of water.
Chasing bigger dreams like her windows can`t open any wider.
Failer comes when her winds blow in that quarter.
When she`s afraid of her purpose,
Success becomes the tallest order.
So she can`t imagine why we`d wish each other the same slaughter.
The knife of doubt invades passion like it has no border,
Suppose it is worse when you are the only daughter.
My pains can be turned into a purpose
My name not for fame
A purpose shall be
Like a tall giant growing tree.
Through sorrows and Prayers
The layers of tears
Some miserable years
The lies that came abroad
My purpose will be fulfilled.
Amen and Amen and AMEN.
For sparks of joy to which our hearts have hold,
Like fireflies which the flows of time ignore,
And soon forgot, the moment we are cold,
The artist said, "Of this, I shall know more."
For vast unkindness which shall often come,
For not of justice is life's vessel full,
Which those afflicted would of it be numb,
The artist said, "I'll wear this on my soul."
For all the dreams of what the world might be,
The flowers of hope and industry we sow,
And little know what sun or snow they'll see,
The artist said, "This garden shall I grow."
The beauty, and the burden, artists bear,
Is that, for all of life, their hearts must care.
I walk through the world everyday,
Continuously wondering if my purpose is to change a life.
But what life might I be sent to change?
Will I altar the eyes of my husband when I become a wife?
Maybe if I show my mother there’s good in the world,
She won’t be so afraid of letting me go.
Or if I tell my friend her hair looks beautiful naturally curled,
Then her own loveliness she will come to know.
I could tell a stranger “God bless” on the street-
He may go to work and change his quick-living perspective.
Maybe if I walk fast enough, I’ll have a New York minute beat,
Or maybe if I walk slower, I will make the streets less aggressive.
However, not in one existence have I seen a difference,
For maybe the life I’m meant to change is not that of another’s.
But the life I dreaded to live with no confidence
Came to be one that, in the name of the Lord, I serve my sisters and brothers.
Spring — Passion
Kintsugi dawn—
white plum scents night air
tea rises in stillness.
Cranes cross pale sky;
child laughter drifts on moss.
A garden remembers.
Summer — Vocation
Tatami breathes—
cicada shells cling
reborn softly.
Koi flicker below
ripples fade in quiet hands.
Evening thunder calls—
incense drifts
forms bow.
Autumn — Mission
Fox lanterns kindle
shoji float through silver mist—
ancestral spirits stir.
Stray dog nestles
by the gate;
even strays seek warmth.
Tea vapor
recalls morning.
Winter — Profession
Snow settles
on stone lanterns
pine needles in palm.
Cold brushes fingertips.
Crane arcs slowly—
silhouette lingers on old walls.
Work kneaded
with laughter;
fire clothes darkness.
Completion — All Seasons as One
Sakura scatter—
petals dance
mirror tea vapor.
Breath holds the garden.
Circle closes
opens anew.
Tea cools,
reflects sky—
time folds gently.
Purpose
Closed my eyes
Breathe, exhale
Clearing the mechanism around
Unleashed, daring, fearless
Gratitude, learning content
Joyful, peaceful, at ease
Cleansing the mind, body n soul
Washed by his grace
Clearing the fog from the eye sight
View becomes clearer
New core identity arises
Letting go of the unknown
Releasing the ego
Falling on ones knees
Echoing his praise
Acknowledging presence n blessings
Open my eyes
A little wiser , stronger, faithful
protected, shielded
Focused taking every step
with his guidance
The will to be determined
To pursue , to conque against all odds
Survival mode
To achieve his vision
To truly understand my purpose
I know where my heart lives, I've seen the unseen,
Boldly I've witnessed the love in between,
The madness, the chaos, the pain in their eyes,
The tears they have shed in the darkness of night,
The never ending faith to push forward in love,
The hope that holds on and never gives up,
The song that sings louder for the words to be heard,
When actions aren't enough to express what hurts,
The tears that rapidly fall when all else fails,
And the adrenaline to fight for love to prevail,
Standing with arms raised in worship to push evil away,
To protect unspoken hearts for mercy and grace,
The silent rage that fuels the fire that longs for love to endure,
Knowing your purpose means so much more,
In my country
For you to make sense
You need to have money
For you to be respected
You have to throw money around
For you to find love
You need to have money.
Every effect
A cause
A man's wife may either
"Make" or "break" him
Everyone has their
own style of expressing things.
Forgetting we're souls
Not the body
The soul is limitless
And the body is very limited
We're from the infinite source
Never to be limited to substance or things but purpose.
Let each of us, from our heart,
do what we are led to do.
If the intent is for the good of ourselves,
others, or all of humanity,
it will be a good thing that each of us will do.
When, in darkness, there's but a single ray;
When, in cruelty, there's little kindness found;
Then in imagination could I stay;
A private realm, and in perfection crowned;
And I thought of dreams, in that certain way.
When, in darkness, there shines a brilliant ray;
When, in cruelty, there is a kindness found;
Not in imagination would I stay;
Let private thought with purpose then be crowned;
And I think of dreams, in that certain way.
Riding a beam of universal light.
The heavens are luminous, every night.
Interpreted through fear a blinding bright,
Filtered through Love it provides great insight.
Is it better to give, than to receive?
First try it, then tell me what you believe.
Be honest with others, never deceive,
A life worth living, you’ll surely achieve.
All gifts must be given to sustain their usefulness.
Like blood, life is in the flow, if not flowing, blood dries and dies.
Movement, the constant changing, sustains the life of all living entities of creation.
The Sun gives energy that sustains life on Earth.
It renews itself every night by sharing the job
of lighting the Earth with the Moon.
This enables it to burn in full force in all its brilliance each morning.
As humans, we are given gifts, not to possess, but to give or
share with others.
If not given are shared, the gift loses its source of power and dies.
Like love that is not given or shared dies within us.
Like God’s first gift to man, the breath of life, man can share this gift
through the propagation of mankind.
The more adaptable we become to change, the more we are given.
Sharing our gifts of life, love, and awareness with others
gives us our purpose in life.
The good times, and the fitness
In albums bearing witness
Will prove wasted on the test
That decides a person’s rest.
It pays to raise the stakes
Like by thanking G-d with praise,
Treating one’s own spouse
with kindness, in the house,
Being noted oft Above
For doling out plain love,
And enriching one’s ascent
On the charities well spent.
Descendents who will place
On the mantle Grandie’s face,
Will be frolicking near the shelf
Making memories of self.
I love a long holiday and as a general rule
you’ll find me out by a turquoise pool
cause it’s hot outside and I’m nobody's fool.
Closing my eyes I lazily daydream
listening to my favorite music stream
umbrella shaded from harsh sunbeams.
I’ve put away polemic school assignments
for leisure and tastier desultory refinements
like buffalo wings, pizza and dirty martinis
and the barely there cool of a string bikini.
