Tenement Psalms

The streets remember every whispered prayer,
sirens hum lullabies through heavy air,
Broken bottles brighten beneath Bronx blocks,
kids spin on corners, drawing lines in chalk.

Graffiti wings sketch saints on the wall,
my abuela’s pasteles smell in the hall,
Corners carry chaos courage can claim,
yet Harlem heals me when I call her name.

Skyscrapers guard what we can't see,
Dreams break the streets where hope used to be.
Dawn dances determined, defiant, deep blue,
so I rhyme survival into something true.

Love grows wild in the harshest place,
we carve forever in a fleeting space,
Each echo embraces every enduring eye,
Harlem, you teach me how not to die.

Kingdom Psalms: a remedy for my enemies

On my knees, I glorify the Lord
He is the lifter of our head
We can go to sleep because of what He said!

In the midst of our enemies
The Lord Jesus will reign
The Word of the Lord is a Sword
God will only tolerate so much and
Then He will Act and Perform His Word

Psalm three for my enemies
A remedy for life when they try to harm us

We praise God for His mercy and
We thank Him for His love and
When we face our enemies we thank God for Psalm Three

Psalm three for my enemies
A remedy for life when they try to harm us

Psalms 23 Sculptor's Edition

The Lord is my sculptor I will chisel rightly, He holds my hand and directs it. He opens my mind to visualize the deep, He brings light to my mind, He opens a craft book for me because of His loving heart, Even though the night seems to cloud my mind I will not be perturbed, You’re my inspiration, my guide and my sunlight, You strengthen my feeble hands in the times of adversity, You open the door for me out of the hold of the night, I find the path to creativity, I will see the visions of the beauty of nature and walk in the path of radiance forever.

Modern Version Psalms 23

The Lord is my master;
I shall not want.
He makes me plough a small
farmland;
He leads me beside as I sow to reap.
He restores my strength;
He leads me in the paths of
honesty
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through
the valley of manipulation*,
I will fear no poverty;
For You are with me;
Your Discipline and Your Sacrifice, they comfort me.
You give me voice in the
presence of my enemies;
You bless me with resilience;
My gratitude remains ever.
Surely humbleness and content shall follow
me
All the breaths of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the
Lord
Forever.

Premium Member Psalms 23 Patients’ Edition

The Lord is my physician.
I won’t be sickly.
He helps me to get my rest and much-needed sleep.
He gives me exercises to do;
He makes me stronger.
He instructs me on the best supplements
for my health’s sake.
Even though my food and environment are filled with toxins,
I will feel safe
because I trust in You.
Your wisdom and Your remedies soothe me.
I encounter infections and viruses in many places that I go;
You protect me from Pandemics.
I feel so grateful.
Surely strength and fitness will enhance my well-being
through the days of my life,
and I will be healed by my Physician
evermore.

23 The Lord is well peppered;
I shall add salt,
2 He laid out the green peppers;
and poured the chili sauce,
3 all into my bowl;
that's filled generously with cut steak.
4 In the taste test, my eyes began to water.
He smiled at me, as I ate happily.
5 He set the table for my friends who said that they
were sorry as He poured the hot sauce,
and their eyes began to water.
6 We were full and begged for mercy, no more please,
and in the following days;
We all ate at the house of our Lord;
Forever.

Premium Member MY VERSION OF THE 23RD PSALMS

The Lord that provides for me
No worries what I see
Assured in the Lord’s trusting accord
The Devil I want to avoid
The Lord is everything through Faith
Died for Sin
The Lord I will always take in
No pretend
Salvation on solid ground
When storms surround
The Lord’s fulfilling promise all around
When despair gets me down
The Holy Spirit can be found
The Lord encourages with care
The Almighty is one of a pair
I am his sheep and the Lord is my Shepherd
I will always want
My praise in chant
My Hallelujah in shout
Through it all, God conquers all
Everlasting promise
The Lord is holy always honest

His song rises across the skies
Where love for Him is instinctive
His eternal light whispers hope
Peace and joy, infinite, sincere

With feelings stirring poetry
His song rises across the skies
Lighting the way to grace so true
Releasing souls – redeeming

Echoes, silent shadows whisper
Singing psalms of gentle belief
His song rises across the skies
Securing genuine disciples

Not doubting, ever convicted
Holy prayers, stirring kindness
Passions aroused by His presence
His song rises across the skies

Waiting

I
A week before one can eat again
No great illness
Listen to the wisdom of the body
No food remains
Expelled by mouth or tummy
Ask for intervention
Then wait
In faith

II
Those who wait and pray without hate
Will mount up on wings of eagles
They shall run without fatigue
And nobfear of human or spirits
Shall have any Dominion
Which belongs to the Lord
( Read Isaiah, psalms, Matthew. Psalm 37:7)

How Great Thou Art

I
Wednesday, in Eastern Cape Province,
The God of the night and of New days
Was gently then greaty praised
Glory, at a senior center, South Africa

II
Old folk, with few family visiting, busy
Lives when young (sonder Here) 'godless'
But as old age turns them more to Thee
We ministers of Jesus sing loud to bless

III
O Lord my God, when We, in awe & wonder
Consider all works Thy hands have made
We see the stars, we hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
Then sing many a soul, SAVIOR Jesus to Thee
How Good You are, how kind You are. Praise!

NOTE: The words from a greatbhymn was also based on Psalm 19, 8, and Genesis 1-2.

Wingless Angel

They were soft whispers
her prayers
but loud enough
that God could hear.

King James Bible
opened in one hand
a lit candle in the other
and the sound of urgency
affixed to her lips
in a flow of rhythmic cadence
she recited the psalms as
her faith soared to reach its mark—God’s ears.

The pain of labor
never her experience
but her opened heart was
full of maternal love.
She was my ‘wingless angel’
now ethereally winged
assisting the God she loved.

Her faith
she passed on
by showing the way through
gentleness and unvoiced guidance
radiance and wisdom
that example I’ve become.

I sometimes imagine
a familiar whisper
echoed in a warm breeze
and I wonder
is that you, my angel…
do you still pray for me?
