Lawn Care

The sun is high in the summer sky
And no clouds to be seen
The grass is high neath the summer sky
And growing tall and green
The mower starts with growling roar
And cuts through swaths of fescue
This mowing proves a sweaty chore
And soon I beg for rescue
My lawn’s expanse appears to grow
The longer that I labor
Seems to expand as I cut each row
The mower becomes my sabre
And I a true knight dueling a foe
Who laughs at my every advance
He stands unyielding before each blow
And about the green our martial dance
With never a sign of surrender
The fight goes on between us two
Which shall prove to be the pretender
Victory comes with the aim that’s true
And at last my foe lies low
Beneath the heel of the victor
Yet even now it grows
Who shall win next Saturday?
Sadly there is no predictor

Birthday's Warmth

The right timing for a fun filled moment;
Long awaited is here to caress views...
Of open eyes, soak in sweet merriment,
To which awesome mind's enthusiasm glues.

Her drives on the open dance floor at ease,
Promotes strange moves out of unwillingness...
Shying away what thrilling vibes please,
In return for joyful relief's boldness.

Birthday celebration defines no one,
Either you are been generous or not,
You share things for all with notable pun...
Showing regards for coming to the spot.

Happy birthday dear Ifeoma Victor
So generous; don't tag me predictor!

Premium MemberNo Shadow This Spring

Early Spring I did recall that little groundhog made his call
but record snow and freezing cold and icy winds that bellow
Testify no weather predictor is a groundhog detector
He usually does see his shadow near and winter stretches in the year
but his shadow he did not see meant an early spring was to be
But the sly little rodent fooled us all for winter stayed without a thaw
I was hoping for a sunny spring weary of all frozen things
But six more weeks of winter stays his shadow is a big charade
that little groundhog's prediction untrue, time for some groundhog stew.

I'M a Magician

I’M A MAGICIAN
I’m a Magician married with my bridesmaid
I’m a wizard loosing mine’s touch
I’m a Rajah looking after number one
I’m a seer uncovering cards
Now looking himself at the glassball.
Look at me
Saying Relic, Passageway and Kiss
And asking to the Ball
“What is the future?”
And the Ball saying thhrough myself:
“As a predictor, there’s no future
Because as do You see
There’s a set of fundamentalism
Toward which people will again and again
Make hates and wars.
Responses to the present and future situations
Arte ever the same:
The old Zodiac meditating to Death
Full of great encounters and great silences
As responses to all situations”.
Meanwhile
The smile of constellations
Wet one’s face into existence
Where we are taken care of a paradox cat
Stirring by a thought, but of what?

For President Run Horn Haiku

For President Run

Better things will be
And go down in history
In home of the free.

Things will have improved
A great message have behooved
We like to have viewed.

Greatest when charming
And never will be harming
Or also alarming.

For President run
When over and after done
Surely will have one.

Predictions

A soothsayer vigorously announced impending doom,
To the gathered townsfolk causing such gloom,
But when a lightning bolt struck
The predictor was out of luck,
Laughing, they swept him away with a broom.

Premium MemberCrazy Thoughts No 3

Children laugh four hundred times a day
We adults at the most laugh fifteen
Try to copy these young whipper snappers
But watch you don't rupture your spleen

The biggest predictor of love is proximity
That makes a whole lot of sense
If your lying next to an unclothed woman
Sexually you might feel a bit tense

According to the latest poll about habits
Men shower more often than women
That's a really charming romantic statistic
Who cares if they're stinkier than men

The world's tallest man was eight foot eleven
Passed away at the age of twenty-one
Looked down his nose at almost everything
'Cept giraffes who couldn't be outdone

Women supposedly mature faster than men
But they surely don't have as much fun
We will still be acting like a bunch of yahoos
When they close the lid and we're done

Women really excel at parking a car
But on the freeway it's a whole different matter
While putting on makeup at 80 miles an hour
The main concern is blood splatter

A whole big batch of Valentines are exchanged
You would think I'd get more than one
But imagine if the one card that I did receive
Was from Jennifer Aniston
