There are those who take what they want.
Pez dispensers of pain and suffering
,, gleaning, never planting
Rapists of fresh air and confidence.
Staining the souls of everything.
Tumors in the marrow of society.
They are small glimpses into hell
professional complainers and oppressors
With bachelor's degrees in deflection and deceit.
PHD'S in the blame game.
Others only take what they need.
Giving the rest away to those in need,
Calm waters, splintering calibers of decay.
They are small windows into heaven.
Bachelor's degree in responsibility and reason.
PhDs in fathomless faith.
The well-meaning try to fix evil with bleeding hearts...
Evil thinks they're soft tools-plays them for fools.
To be used for evil endeavors.
If evil isn't acting out, it is plotting its next twisted step.
Fashioning chalk pentagrams, dreaming in hues of death.
Evil can never be fixed.
Evil must be minced into oblivion.
The trend is to coddle and pacify-
Until it festers from an irritating blemish to
incurable disease and endless menace.
Legos, crayons, yo-yo’s, shells,
Key chains, postcards, notes from camp,
Magnifying glasses, tokens
And a clip-on bedside lamp…
Action figures, racing cars,
Sticker books and rubber snakes,
Pez dispensers, memo pads and
Statuettes with cracks and breaks…
Baseball cards and ping-pong balls,
Loose erasers, sweatbands, dice -
Most would take a glance and toss ‘em,
Never even thinking twice.
Going through my kids’ old treasures,
That is what I try to do
And, though progress has been made,
It will be hours before I’m through.
Where are my old white corsets
Right next to your candy cigarettes
Hey! We didn't get today's edition of 'Grit'
It's canceled. They use bad words now like 'Guck' and 'Spit'
Oh, and I can't seem to find my orange Pez dispenser
I threw it out. They've proved that Pez causes cancer
By the way, have you seen the Sunday funnies
They're a no-go, ever since they canceled 'Pogo'
You know I've got two tickets for the Brooklyn Dodgers
Ha, ha, ha! Even Sandy Koufax is just an old codger
Then I'm going cruising in my new Studebaker
--with that benchwarmer from the Minneapolis Lakers?
Before I forget, don't throw away my bottle of royal blue ink
Ball point pens been around since '38, sister, even in pink
So you shan't think me old-fashioned, I just bought a brand-new TV!
-Yeah, a nine-inch black-and-white with vacuum tubes that smile at me
But I paid for it with five million Wheaties box tops!
That's crazy... I think I'll start collecting used lemon drops...

Anna and the French Kiss
Spanish Verse
Anna et le BAISER FRANÇAIS
¡¡Ah!! Ooh la-la mi señora
Wee-wee ah,
niña, ¿dirás nosotros?
Pez lengua
Un deseo profundo
una dicha preferida pegajosa concisa
Combinando esta lengua luchan lenguas
Tocando salivate Bliss llegando dulces y suculentos labios
Beso
amor extenso amoroso el uno por el otro
Amore, bella Anna me gustas tanto
Chupando cara
Íntimo apasionado
Oh, Anna es un dilema
Como una boca en la pajita
Nos retiramos
Penetrando tanta prisa
Lengua besos tentadora
expresando pasión erótica
Anna Dopamina,
¡Oh! Anna Endorfinas,
¡Oh! Anna Oxitocina, ¡ahh! ¡Oh!
VEN AQUÍ CHICA porque no quieres perderte
este beso francés
¡No tienes que hablar "ooh la la"! Wee-wee, niña.
Anna tu sabes mi mas cariñoso deseo mi glorioso deseo
¿Es que vienes aquí, chica, ven mi amor, vamos a besarnos?
A teardrop means
pressure has built over time
the mind has boiled over
don't try to hold it back
or turn down the heat
the shrinks say-let it flow
this is completely normal...
but if you do it for too long
they'll claim it-mental breakdown.
A train wreck in your head
label you a mental defective.
On the blackest of days
they'll whisk your children away.
Extract you from your life
like a tumor under a dull knife.
They'll fill your pez dispenser head
with a glaze of happiness.
To cloak the waves of ill
sizzling inside your burning brain pan.
Tautologies always repeat themselves in non sequential order
All philosophies revolve around the suns of tautologies
There are endless suns orbiting Earth all named Henry
Shoes wear feat and feat wear shoes to bed
Vending machines dispense Pez and Pez does likewise
All time machines are created equal
Total eclipses happen seven days a week in Egypt
Egypt is a word without letters or envelopes
Everything is closed in an open universe
Thursdays are open to suggestions of being months
That time of month is not this one but another
All things being equal are equal to one when added to two
All people are one foot tall and only come in one color
Yellow is God's favorite color but not on Sunday
Three thousand pounds of feathers is never enough
Governments are worth their weight in gold
If you sell your children you will go to heaven twice
Everything on this list is true and leads to enlightenment
Why else would someone write it
Why else would anyone read it through
*In logic, a tautology is a formula that is true in every possible interpretation. Philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein first applied the term to redundancies of propositional logic in 1921.

Oh no, I can’t do it here!
And my feathers are a mess!
Can’t a clucker have a little privacy?
I don’t know about the rest of you
but I can’t just pop out egg after egg
like I’m a plastic PEZ dispenser!
And certainly not in front of that pushy
crower, Chanticleer.
Cock-a-doodle-doo, Cock-a-doodle-SHOO!
There’s not even enough straw in here
to fashion a two-bit bedroom.
And the walls are crate paper thin!
You’d think this was a hen party!
I haven’t heard this much cackling
since the Chippendales came through!
No, changes WILL be made if they ever
want to taste my omelet!
Childhood Friends.-----Girl
Tea parties with a Teddy Bear
pretty dresses Sunday morn.
Grandpa said each time at church
it's the prettiest one I've worn.
Slumber party not so hardy
made of sugar and spice.
If truth is known now that I'm grown
sometimes not so nice.
Birthday fun out in the sun
I hate the way fun ends.
Oh what a night oh such a sight
I miss my childhood friends.
Sleepy eyed some sometimes cried
they missed their mom and dad.
Take them home I'm not alone
and Oh what fun we had.
Candy Pez and Simon says
and skipping rope in June.
Hickory tickory dickory dock
and the cow jumped over the moon.
Pink night gowns and merry go rounds
I want just three more spins.
Spring or Fall I loved them all
I miss my childhood friends.
Edwin C Hofert
Let the stream of cash in, flood-gate
Like the Casino, I'll keep chips in your plate
Big-ballin', throw it in the pot, high stakes
Don't sleep, keep watch for fakes and snakes
So much dead pres' to burn, it's a crime
Surprised I ain't in the Feds, doing hard time
Forget 'bout Simon, do what the money says
I dish-out money, like candy from a Pez
Dispenser, destined to do this since I was born
I make it rain, you can't weather this storm
All these accounts, my name should be Fill-More-Banks
I keep the cash secure, it wouldn't be safer in tanks
Fast money, accountant, lost track of how much I earn
The money's wind to my sail, it controls where I turn
I'm eating right now, stack the money like pancakes
You know I love beef, put everything up for stakes
Eating up these problems, got me puttin' on some pounds
BS walk, money talk, you tell me how that sounds?
Hold-up, freeze, don't nothing move but the money
You can't afford to pay attention--it's free, dummy!
Class is in, cash the topic, you failed, watch and learn
Set the city on fire, cremated, get it a urn
striving endlessly to
preserve her/himself in
amber,
having spent no time to pop out
the biological pez that 99% of others do,
rather instead,
working to put more
cultural seed out into the
world,
s/he would be at a loss,
the greatest that s/he had ever known,
if in fact,
s/he was found to be interesting
in the eyes of the easily pleased, neon,
five second exposure,
that makes & breaks those who
might’ve spent a lifetime
creating a vast amount of precious
things,
which generations later
might be able to use
in order to stand on the proverbial giant’s
shoulders &
keep the wave splashing up against the
shore of
continuous
creativity---
the irony is that to be found is to be
decided upon, evaluated &
shelved, whilst one is still alive &
breathing,
killing one’s greatest love so quick
with the label of
“style”---
as if reinvention & the fun that accompanies
an artist doing so,
would be cauterized by the consuming
public.
No matter what an expert says
About what folks should savor,
I really hate the taste of Pez –
That goes for every flavor.
The small contraption where it goes
Is cute, unique and fun;
But everybody surely knows
You’re glad when each row’s done.
They taste like baby aspirin did
When melted in a spoon.
I had that as a fevered child
And won’t repeat it soon.
There are some people who collect
Those Pez dispenser toys.
Nostalgia is what I expect
Contributes to their joys.
For recently I had a taste
Of modern Pez, in cherry.
I chewed and swallowed in such haste
It was extraordinary.
The flavor hadn’t changed a whit;
The texture was like chalk.
If offered some, I’d stall a bit
Then beat it, like a hawk.
Some candy treats are meant to be
A childhood paragon.
Today, I’d take Godiva,
‘Cause that Pez-press urge is gone.
